yea because the album was/is not accessible :beli:, albums that i haven't heard until my teenage years such as liquid swords still hold up to its classic stature your comment makes zero sense.

Not dissing Liquid Swords, but LAD has so much more depth. From party tracks, to mafioso rap, to storytelling, to emotional heartfelt songs. I could go on and on.

Tell me one song on Liquid Sword fukking with 10 Crack Commandments.

You must be some backpacker trying to be different. How do they shyt on 10CC?

Not a backpacker at all, I just think liquid swords perfected the concept/theme it was trying to craft; where as LAD has several bad songs on the disc, not one bad song on LS

"Liquid Swords" was a very solid album, if someone likes it more that's preference, what isn't preference is what LAD achieved. For example, someone could say "Thriller" sucks, it was terrible. But that doesn't change the fact it's considered one of the greatest albums of all time. So again someone could say "LAD is average, it's 3/5" doesn't change it's status.

I think almost the opposite. LAD was a well thought out album with great theme, stories and classic lines. There are some commercial tracks, but that doesn't make them bad (Another is the only one I'll say is truly bad).

LAD shyts on 80% of that list. The only albums on that entire list seeing LAD are X's debut and maybe Ghost album but that's more quality cause even then I can't say their better overall. LAD more sales, more critical accliam, more influence. Did you really just say Guerrilla Warfare and Ryde or Die Vol 1 are seeing LAD :dead: Again some of you dudes just trying to be different for the sake of it acting like LAD is some weed plate and not one of the greatest rap albums of all time.

:birdman: i never said LAD is a weedplate. i just said its overrated. dam, is there any in-between with some of you? if i aint s*ckin his d*ck, that means im chittin on him?

and nobody is trying to be different. for one, theres ALOT of people who feel the exact same way i do. secondly, im speaking from the perspective of somebody who spent about $30 on this album and didnt get his money's worth.

Yea cause people run around calling Pun's "Yeah Baby" a Classic cause he died right? GTFOH. LAD still shyttin on albums 15 years later. People love to say the album was a success cause he died like Big wasn't moving units like crazy before his death. The fact is the album success, influence and impact can't even be debated. For every 1 of people like you who say it isn't great, there are millions of fans who know it's a Classic. You on an island man.

not saying he was as good, but pun didnt have puffy and a huge machine behind him, shoving his legacy down our throats endlessly.

we were taught to believe that LAD was one of the goat albums before it was even released.

LOL @ "Taught" so just because most of everyone that heard the album ended up loving it they were "Taught" to love it by the media and "Machine" and not their own ears? Like I said you can feel what you want that doesn't change what the album achieved and is. The Pun exampled proves that Death don't make nothing classic, the music has to do it on it's own. It's 15 years later, just lookin at the state of rap now this album still stands as a shinning light. Of course there's people who feel the way you do. Some people think "ILLmatic" is overrated no piece of art is universally accepted as perfect. But that doesn't change the fact it's a classic. Sometimes people need to understand that personal opinions can't change what a particular piece of art achieved. Again if someone says "Thriller" is wack does that make it so? Does that erase it's impact, success, influence and awards it received? nope it's just that person not feeling it. LAD status at this point in time is cemented.
