They've got to be up there now, especially considering the fact that they won an Oscar. They are the only Hip Hop group or duo to have won an Oscar. That speaks for something and the fact that these cats really worked their way up in Hip Hop. I can remember when Three 6 Mafia were just an underground group receiving a lot of independent success. But over time they continued to keep building on to their success and it paid off with "It's Hard Out Here For A Pimp". Their production influence is undeniable when I hear Flocka and a lot of Gucci, or OJ Tha Juiceman, it reminds me of the foundation Paul and The Juice Man put down.

There would be no drumma boy, shawty red, midnight black, 808 mafia, zaytoven, lex luger, or lil lody if it wasnt for DJ Paul and Juice. They started the whole "trap" hardcore beat sound.

and their era will always be the most creative within that sound. All those other bums arent shyt. Paul is one of the best ever at sampling.
