He needs to become one or just get in the fukking paint.

Why are you talking the ball up if you can't hit a free throw line jumper, or even a 3 ?
All his scoring is in the paint

Middleton is more of the issue than Giannis

That's the problem lmfao.

If all your scoring is in the paint, stay there.

& develop a post game while you're at it.

If you can't hit a jumper you have no business at the three point line, or free throw extended. That's basketball 101. Dude stifling the offense

I don’t think Giannis posting up is helping this team

:mjlol: Nah, there is ZERO argument for him being the third option. He led the team in scoring, field goal attempts AND 4th quarter scoring in their championship run.

He was 1a/1b with Pierce at worst. Ray was a distant third. But even Doc Rivers will tell you they were going to him before anyone else on that team. The bulk of the offense ran through him in the high post until they got to the Finals and Pierce had Luke Walton and Vladimir Radmanovic across from him.

Paul Pierce lead us in scoring during the regular season. Lead us in scoring in the finals.

Paul Pierce was the leading scorer for all of the big 3 era

They need to get rid of Lopez put Giannis at center and surround him with nothing but shooters. He can be like Dwight was for the Magic with more touches offensively and the ability to guard on the perimeter. And they NEED an elite shot creator and maker but they aren't just growing on trees of course. A player like Dame would be perfect with Giannis.

Yeah, Dirk won one too

Now name another PF who won anything as a 1st option :unimpressed:

only ones to even win as a 2nd option are AD, Sheed, and Kevin McHale

If you have the skillset to be an All-Star at the 3 or the 5 then you may be great but a "true" PF will always be objectively worse than any other position given the same talent level.

Everyone should know PF is a historically weak position. If Duncan is considered a 4 then he's the greatest 4 ever but he's really a center...

Bob Pettit is the greatest "real" 4 ever and he won a title; Hayes, Garnett, and Dirk are the only other 4s to ever win a title as #1s (and sure, Duncan if you count him makes five 4s to lead championships as the best player on those teams)...

Other than MJ and Kobe name a SG who won anything as a first option.

Other than Magic and Isiah name a PG who won as a first option.

Two guard is also a historically weak position and Mike, Wade and Bean the only ones to ever lead chip runs as #1s...

Cousy was league MVP in '57, Russell's rookie season, and along with available pieces of the time calling him the best player in The League that year, there is little to no precedent of anyone winning MVP and not being the best player on his team...

Frazier was the best player on the '73 Knicks clearly...

Then there's '15 Steph...

Happens literally every time the playoffs roll around. Brehs go crazy over his regular-season stat lines but he doesn't play like someone who can force his will upon a game at all.

His inability to impose his will in the playoffs and shift a series vs elite competition is a damning, inescapable mark on dude...

And unless this changes, history will look back on his MVP runs similar to how they view Nash's. Which may or may not be fair depending what lens you look at it, but an undeniable fact is his regular seasons have given his accolades GOAT-level players got for dominating BOTH the regular and postseasons, so he definitely deserves to be judged by that benchmark...

I'm rooting for him and hope the Bucks find a way to recover and even if they lose, he plays at a level deserving of his stature. But this is a pattern and an increasingly problematic one, and he isnt gonna end up being the fall guy for it...
