why are we talking about broner?

broner took after floyds style post de la hoya, sitting in the pocket, picking his spots and preserve his energy. floyd could afford to adopt this because his lifetime of being in the ring his dedication to his craft and his ability to cut down his opponents punch output negates any on coming attack for the most part.

but broner is too dumb and too stupid to adopt such technique, what i mean by this, the l ittle things floyd does, the forearms when the ref isnt looking, using his shoulder to gain leverage on the inside to get off, fighting off the ropes and countering, broner cant do this because he just isnt as dedicated.

Not to mention, broner isnt a sportsman, i know this is corny, but he really is jsut a disrespectful peice of shyt. i fought, i know what its like to stand in that ring, but after the fights over, the theatrics need to end. He looked vunerable and i think that maidana loss affected him more than he lets on. hes not only beatable but his punch output isnt gonna save him if his power hasnt carried over.

Broner is easily the worst personality in boxing today and ill be happy when he leaves. hes bad for the sport, bad for boxing and bad for blacks as a whole, hes a 5th degree blackbelt c00n

fight was a walk in the park for floyd. everybody talkin about Maidana's supposed awkwardness. all i see is wild inaccurate punches hoping to connect. and so did floyd which is why the only mark on his face was from an accidental headbutt to the mouth.

Who said anything about his physical decline? After the Cotto fight he completely shut down both Robert and Saul and while a tough fight still clearly beat Marcos. The next time they fight (assuming it happens) Floyd will win easier that the first fight.

Very good point. As they say, styles make fights. Floyd was able to outbox the hell out of those 2 fighters, whereas Maidana refused to box. You can see it during the fight. As soon as Floyd would start boxing in the middle, Maidana would try to find a way to put him on the ropes immediately. I think it will be a easier fight next fight because Floyd won't have all those distractions. I don't care what he says, he was definitely distracted and not as ready to fight as he made others believe. Also, as another poster said, I think he is tired of boxing. I can see why he used to only fight once a year. I think he should go back to that, but then again, he is getting older by the year and may not afford to do that anymore (I'm sure he knows this).

Did Floyd have to use his A game or was still using his B game?:sas1:

Cause if he used his B game, like he always claims,.....he's gonna need some help next time:sas2:

I thought you were a huge Floyd fan? Damn nikka u've turned heel. And I don't believe he has never used his A game. That's bullshyt.

im saying it because im seeing it. last night they were comparing maidana to jesus chavez who mayweather fought in 2001, mayweather stopped chavez and chavez came in almost exactly the same fukking manner, winging wild punches, looking at him from back then and seeing whats going now is like night and day, he struggled with maidana. thats just my opinion, i seriously dont think mayweather will finish out that contract undefeated, i really hope he does, but im not sure.

fighters get old overnight all the time and mayweather is not the exception, he looked old saturday.

Difference between Chavez and Maidana is Maidana never got tired. Chavez punched himself out and got tired. Lowkey I think Maidana was taking something, and I think Teddy Atlas alluded to that in an interview he did with Fight Hype after the fight.
also, the scores to tarver/jones 1

117-111, 116-112, and 114-114

yall nikkas think im lying. and alot of people called that shyt a robbery as well but i think roy won.

Dude...I think you're being a little paranoid. To be fair, Roy was doing fine against Tarver in that second fight until that ko punch. Sometimes that happens. I do think Roy was losing or lost that first fight.

Floyd was doing his best AB impersonation by standing stupidly in front of Mick Foley and trying to trade shots with him during the 1st 5 rounds and not using his legs and boxing ability. He was losing on my scorecard because of it:manny:

That's what I mean by him doing an AB impersonation.....he was doing the wrong thing and didnt look like the Floyd we all know. He was doing a bad Floyd imitation = doing an AB impersonation

Floyd didn't do an AB impersonation. Where were your eyes at? AB stood right in front of Maidana and tried to do the shoulder roll and back him down. Floyd very rarely used his shoulder roll. Floyd defense was totally different than AB's during the Maidana fight.

No I think you're dead on, dude. I've been a Floyd fan since 98. Grandma put me on to him :jawalrus: I mean anybody with boxing sense can see his legs aren't the same.

Yeah...that's it:comeon:

Floyd did nothing in that fight for you to be "arrogant" about. He fought the wrong fight the first 5 rounds and barely beat Marcos Maidana

Funny how you didnt address the Devon Alexander fact:sas2:

Maidana was fatigued by the ffith around in the Alexander fight, Alexander is a southpaw
and also Boxed Alexander he came in at 165 against Floyd and try to wrestle him
also Alexander is not trash so what are talking about, also Alexander did all the holding
also the commentators were not
hyping Maidana's flurry's enough and were giving Devon rounds they could have easily said maidana won
I wouldn't surprised if Maidana is on something too, because he normally gases

also Devon got cut with a punch Floyd got cut with a headbutt

Floyd has one of the greatest boxing minds and natural skills EVER.

Next fight, Floyd will avoid any punches that Chino throws now. Floyd makes adjustment in the fight, Imagine what would happen if he already fought the guy and knows his tactics. Chino threw like 800 punches and only connected around 220 :mjlol:. Second fight he is gonna connect even less. :yeshrug:.

Floyd struggled against Jose Luis Castillo in their first fight and He washed Jose Luis Castillo in the rematch.

Mayweather's style does not bold well for Maidana in a second fight and I really don't want to see a rematch. :camby: Amir Khan would give Floyd problems more than Maidana now.

Chino needs to call Bob Arum and set him up with a fight against Pacquiao to cash in even more and have a legit chance at beating a legend. Pacquiao will engage Chino in trading shots and it would be a much more interesting fight than Mayweather Maidana 2.
