Absolutely.

Floyd doing an AB impersonation? :usure: I think you got the names mixed up there. :mjpls:

Floyd was doing his best AB impersonation by standing stupidly in front of Mick Foley and trying to trade shots with him during the 1st 5 rounds and not using his legs and boxing ability. He was losing on my scorecard because of it:manny:

That's what I mean by him doing an AB impersonation.....he was doing the wrong thing and didnt look like the Floyd we all know. He was doing a bad Floyd imitation = doing an AB impersonation

I think Floyd gamed the public with this performance.:patrice: Now he's gonna cake on a rematch with a guy who the general public really thinks fought an even fight with him.:snoop: Floyd knows there aren't anymore names out there if he's not gonna negotiate with Arum. He won't fight the young beastly nigs(i.e. Porter) because the money don't justify the risk for him at this point.

He was voluntarily going to the ropes from the start of the fight. Maidana was competitive, but not really landing anything clean or effective the whole night. His best shots were illegal ones and he didn't hurt Floyd the whole night. Floyd said he could've boxed, moved, stayed in the middle of the ring and won a boring fight easily. Coming off his Canelo performance, there's nothing to insinuate he couldn't have done that.

I think Maidana's awkwardness made it tough on Floyd to counter in the beginning and Floyd should really make it a point to get off first at times. He wasn't as offensive minded as he should have been, but still clearly beat dude. Roy was in a war for his life with Tarver the 1st fight. There is no parallel at all.
Also Roy would've washed Tarver in the 2nd fight if he wasn't so over confident and leaving himself open like he did. He fought that fight like he did the second Griffin fight where he was out to prove a point. Roy came in like a madman and let Griffin land some haymakers on him as well, he just wasn't phased by it.

Exactly how I feel:manny:

i was thinking this. floyd said the whole time he was going to go toe to toe with maidana. dude was posted on the ropes on his on volition, and wasn't really using his feet like that. but i guess the anti floyd stanbase still bought it like ":krs: HE'S WINNING" as if someone hasn't tried to move forward vs May before.

now floyd easily solves his problem of finding an opponent for september. Floyd is at peak villain status in the media already, so haters will hop on full steam on the maidana hypetrain (see: alexander gustafsson) and inflate ppv buys. i can see the promos now "his toughest opponent yet" "after their controversial first fight..."

and when the fight comes around floyd will fight via his usual style. maidana will barely be able to touch him en route to another boring UD. Thus May trolls the public out of their $$ again and reactionary media will be all "floyd's back!"

we can certainly say that age is the main sole reason why Floyd would potentially lose a fight or look bad in , maidana came to fight and win and still couldn't do it, he couldnt put floyd down or have him seriously hurt like many of the other chino's opponents.

once somebody breaks the fight down on youtube you will see it was just the same old Floyd in wrestling match
with the out match Maidana who did nothing in this fight except wrestle and rough house tactics
if Floyd went to the ropes on purpose like he says, which I can believe because he still won that battle fairly easy
Just because Floyd was frustrated with Maidana's dirty tactics and brusied up by them they think he was having trouble i the fight and that's just not the case

As far as the gloves, it was good think they caught that, because those punches to the back of the head could be cause some serious damages with a glove with no padding

any shot to the back of the head with gloves on is dangerous genius..unless they are wearing big ass circus gloves..that's why rabbit punching is illegal :russ:

It's not a sneak diss.......it's blatant.

Anytime a fighter tries to downplay his opposition (past foes) as "I've never had to use my A game, I've only used my B game" deserves to get hit with his quote after the fight.

Did he have to use his A game against Maidana?

If that wasnt his A game on Saturday, he needs to bring it next time, because he was losing the fight clearly until he stopped pretending to be PBF and went back into Money Mayweather form:manny:

I thought he was losing those rounds too at first, but when I watched it again
Maidana really only won 3-4 rounds

He couldn't land anything, Floyd was impressive in avoiding the onslaught

take this into consideration, in round 4 it was cut y the head butt, you never saw blood again from him after that

Maidana couldn't even touch him to open up the cut which wouldve made it look even better in his favor

that goes to show you Floyd dominated

Even with maidana being the aggressor and floyd standing right infront of him, he still got the better of alot of exchanges. I gave madaina 4 and 5

1-3 was close.

No way Maidana performs at that level for 12 rounds. I think floyd still would of won. how you can have your opponent stand right infront of you and land only 200 out of 600 punches is beyond me. Floyd is just that good.
