I haven't maxed out in years because I only workout alone. I can rep 225 pretty easy for sets of 10. My squats in the 300s though.

I think weights are not a great measure of strength in general. It helps you build a base but if you can't throw a punch then its all for nothing. Alot of big nikkas can't even wrestle right.

A max bench means nothing without saying how much you weigh. Relative strength is what reveals itself in your physique.

If you weigh a lot less than someone but can lift a far greater percentage of weight in relation to your bodyweight then your physique will look significantly more impressive.

And at the end of the day an impressive physique is what most people who go to the gym are after. Most people are not trying to be competitive powerlifters.
