I think most atheists say that they have no belief system\ideology simply because belief systems\ideologies directly correlates with religion in most cases....

The first 6-8 sentences that comes out of your mouth is going to be what you believe, your belief system or ideology that is the main driving force for your intellectual stance against a higher power...

I posted that to address the statement that atheism is not an ideology. Even the ism suffix defines it as a set of beliefs but I digress...

Atheism does contain a set of beliefs\ideology to justify the stance of their being no higher power.......

There are countless books\blogs\sites that uses a certain rationale, a belief system to a degree, to justify the opinion of there being no God....

Atheism is the LACK of belief. The word shouldn't even exist, PRECISELY for this reason.

It doesn't assert anything and it doesn't make you take a stance on anything.
