Yes I do find it difficult to understand because I am a materialist.
I don't believe "I" make any decisions at all. The physical and chemical processes in my brain and my past experiences make decisions for "me" before "I" am even aware of it.
What a silly thing to believe.

You have no point. What you fail to understand is that not everyone feels the need to make up answers to things they dont know. Thats a difference between religion/belief (whatever you want to call it) and reality. I dont have to have a stance on "how the universe came to be" in order to call bullshyt on your collection of myths.

Did you know that when you read the Bible upsidedown it's talking about you.

Oh I definitely have a point, but ok
No, you dont have a point. A-theism is WITHOUT-theism. I am also an a-Easter Bunniest, an a-leprechaunist, etc. The ism is attached to the belief, the 'a' represents without. We cannot prove A god does not exist, we can show specific gods dont exist once you start giving a narrative and attributes to your god. The abrahamic god is easily refuted as an impossibility.

:snoop:

The A makes it without theistic beliefs/principles....Not devoid of any belief system

you lost b.

define belief system. Or ask me the specific questions you want to know about... There is no pretty packaged set of beliefs for an atheist. Atheism is a stance on ONE SINGLE QUESTION. Nothing else.

Every time I make a thread about Jesus they pour in feeling the need to defend their belief in not believing. Is this not a predominantly black forum discussing issues on anything from music to politics from the view point of younger black males? When did it become the norm to not believe in God in the black and hiphop community?

Brotha Malcolm breaks it down, but doesn't go into everything. He doesn't go into how Jesus was turned white and lies was implemented into the teachings
The bible clearly states that at the end of days, Satan will rule the earth. So what we see here is just what was already foretold.
We have become the minority, so its easier to fall for satans trap. I'm gonna listen to Brief Keef now :merchant:

I guess I'll throw in my two cents. On religion, I consider myself an outsider. I kinda grew up in the AME church but I really didn't believe. I was going because my mom was forcing everyone to go. As I got older and went to college I met people of different faiths and viewpoints on religion. I just don't feel as if I belong to any of the religions. I think the universe is larger than just this little planet. And if there is a "creator" or "God", he just isn't interested in us or what we think of him/her/it. I think people need to focus on what is in front of them instead of worrying about something you have no control over. I usually laugh when people say, It's in God's hands. Just say whatever you want to make yourself feel better because you are admitting you are helpless. I belief people are as powerful as they believe they are. That you can create your own reality as long as you believe in yourself. So my journey for a "religion" continues, I guess.
