Talking politics even before you leave HBO= ducking. If they truly felt this way they wouldn't have ducked the purse bid.. avoiding purse bids = ducking

Talking politics even before you leave HBO= ducking.
Brehs really hate on Stevenson like that?nikkas ride for Stevenson like that?
Why wouldn't it be on HBO? Kov is the man. No one gives a fukk about Stevenson right now. People recognize Kov as the "champ" not Stevenson. This aint Floyd and Manny bro.
Outside of Bika, who moved up to get thw fight, Stevenson aint fought nobody worth a damn since Fonfara.
Dude been playing politics since right before the move to PBC. That nikka don't wanna fight bro.
The point that often never gets brought up. There was a point when Kovalev had agreed, HBO had agreed, and they were waiting for Stevenson. Stevenson chose to leave for PBC instead of taking the biggest fight available.Talking politics even before you leave HBO= ducking.

Could happen but realistically, it's the fighters fault. Pascal knew he was getting whooped. Roach at his corner told him he was about to stop the fight but Pascal wasn't having none of that and pushed for one more round. I know fighters are not objective when they think they "can do it" against all odds but as you said, Pascal was silent for a round and a half while getting tagged, there's no way he didn't know he was being punished. The fight should have been stopped a round earlier -- at least.
It won't surprise me if one day some boxer tries to sue a referee for letting him take more punishment than he should have.
Pascal took at least 40 punches in that last 1.5 rounds that he didn't need to take.
These refs (and Freddy Roach, for that matter) are in there to protect these fighters from themselves.
Soundly put.The point that often never gets brought up. There was a point when Kovalev had agreed, HBO had agreed, and they were waiting for Stevenson. Stevenson chose to leave for PBC instead of taking the biggest fight available.
After that, it has been HBO and PBC negotiating which is a no go not for just for Kovalev-Stevenson, but for everything not Floyd-Manny. Then Adonis wants to start agreeing, once he knows Kovalev's contract is HBO exclusive, so if PBC wins the purse bid, which they will against Main Events, Kovalev cannot contractually fight.
Let's be real, hate him or not, it isn't Kovalev ducking Adonis, it is Main Events and HBO holding the fight up on his end.
No matter what you think, we all lose. Stevenson-Kovalev would be a great fight. Low key would have some of the best trash talk leading up to a fight. And we should be disappointed when there are two clear cut fighters with claim to being king of a division and we can't get them in the ring to settle it.
