That's because those men have basically only Black women to choose from in those predominately Black cities.

Put top-notch Black man in the Cali, NYC, Miami, etc. There's a lot more variety in terms of phenomenal women of all ethnic backgrounds.

Did you not see my last sentence where I said that black men and black women in Cali and New York aren't checking for each other? How did this post add to the conversation when I already took that into account?

I never said phenomenal women only come in non-Black bodies! That's something you're running with. I said I deal with phenomenal women from other ethnic groups, routinely.

Most young Black men who make real money and pursue certain types of careers have the same experience. Over time, his tastes in women evolve. It just is what it is, brehette.

evolve is such an interesting choice of words. You implied is all throughout our conversation.

Again, you juxtaposed phenomenal non black women with the worse stereotypes of black women when the conversation was about phenomenal women in general. Those are the images that you want to perpetuate and it is very typical of coli men. That's what it is breh.

So basically its not outlandish to think there are 2000-3000 Black males every year that enter the dating world making 100k. None of these women are going to get these guys honestly :yeshrug:

I would agree. The thing is, med school grads don't come out making 100K. They gotta do residency, which is a stressful 10+ hr a day job, and hope they make $50K. For 4 years.
Then if they really want to make money, they gotta another year or two (or three) of fellowship. Which can sometimes pay less than residency.

So for a black male to go straight from high school grad to doctor (with no breaks) is a 12 year ordeal at the minimum.

Them LSA gold diggers aint trying to date broke med students/residents/fellows while they are grinding.

To have someone like you encourage it is irresponsible

Who am I encouraging to get these men? I've stated that women in those same environments (the med schools, the law schools, the business schools, and those environments) do have access and routinely date and get married to those same men.

Who you date has a lot to do with proximity. If you are in close proximity to those men, how is that unreasonable.

Never have I said the average women will get a six figure professional. The majority of the women in that thread list salaries between $35K and $50K so they clearly don't have those expectations either.

What exactly are you trying to argue related to what I have said (not what you're pretending I said)?

This was actually a point that I mention in this thread, but it was ignored (so that they could knock down strawmen).

I actually said that it's unreasonable to expect that amount from a 30 year old, even if he is a doctor. I used my boyfriend who is a 29 (next month) year old resident who won't reach 100,000 for another 4 to 7 years.

Plenty? The number of Black male's coming out of medical schools across the country is tiny, brehette. Are all those dudes Meharry grads?

There are about 3000k black male doctors minted annually. Maybe around 5000k lawyers, 1000k I-Bankers that might make legit $150k+, another 1000k business school grads, 10000k in IT or related field, and another 5000k nurses (LPN/RN).

About 30,000-40,000 black men join the crew of men with stable jobs with earning potential, the amount of women is probably double that since women dominate nursing and medicine. We all know women don't date down financially and men don't really care how much a woman makes.

All the rich guys have first dibs on the rich women, all the broke women are also in the game for rich guys. Which is why this discussion will never end, there is too much competition for the attention of well off men, especially in the black community.

Also, the bold just isn't true at all considering (1) the majority of the women in that thread listed potential or $35K to $50 as the ideal (which is definitely the salary range for a lot of residencies and (2) women know what's up with a future doctor's salary.

Black women date and hang on to potential all the time. A resident is a man with a guaranteed future and not a freaking pipe dream.

Let's be real here.

Come on man...

Let's keep it 100

Just like we want women to be attractive, caring, intelligent and classy....women (some more than others) want a guy who got some money.
Yeah, sometimes there are women that are excessive with that gold digging shyt, but that's just how it is.

We as men just have to be mindful of certain signals so we don't end up in some Mel Gibson situation cuz some chics will ruin your goddamn life, and you don't have to be rich either.

The subtext here is that a lot of people feel that money gives you power in the relationship...and at the same time, a lot of women don't respect a man she has to maintain (perhaps on some level, rightfully so).

So if your woman is making 60 and you're pulling in 30...she might one day feel disgusted like she's got a child rather than a boyfriend. And she'll probably feel like calling all the shots...which given the traditional status of men in society and relationships...can be a bit of an ego check. And a lot of men won't handle that shyt too well.

You act as if women don't want all the things we want plus money.

:wow: these chicas are just as out of touch with reality, as coli men

americans are terrible partners in all things :scusthov:

They should actually come to the Coli for a love connection.

We got so many upper management, IT cert profs and porn smut peddlers making 100g a year that there could be a mass wedding ceremony of the two sites

Being real, I was being specific to gold diggers. No gold digger is going to enter into a relationship with a med student or resident. She would have to hold her own and support him for the long ride. Those aren't gold diggers. I'd say those women are smart (or in love) cuz it's not easy being the spouse of a physician-in-training. Crazy work hours, uprooting your life/career when spouse gets matched in another city, helping to pay for all the licensing tests, conferences, etc. Not taking vacations due to call schedules, school loans, etc.

No gold digger is going to do all that. And if she is, she's not a good one. Gold diggers are trying to have their expensive tastes met with very little stress.

My wife just started her last year of surgery fellowship and I started dating her in med school, so I have a good idea of what it takes to date a med student/resident. etc. It's not for those who think its easy.

Okay, I got you. I confused you with the guys who think black women who date professionals or have standards is synonymous with gold digger.

I also started dating my boyfriend in med school. It's his first year of residency (med/peds) and yes it's not easy at all. I feel your pain (although surgery is the WORST so more power to you)

You are a doctoral student too, right? Or do I have you confused again.

Neg.

You nikkas love to shyt on black women. Before yall go in...the poster in the thread is a dude (probably OP). So looks like someone got a LSA account :comeon:.

But I just clicked the link and the responses weren't all crazy or bad. A lot of reasonable answers. And the question was how much do you want your man to be making at age 28 or 30 not how much money for you to marry him. :stopitslime:

I bet this post gets ignored.

Nah, i'm not one of those dudes. I had my own ridiculous dating standards (had to be Ivy educated) so I'd be a hypocrit.

I'm not a doctor, hell no. LOL. I've done HR consulting for like 8 years and worked in industry for 3 years.

I just wanna know, where are all the average men and women at? Everyone's such a fukking narcissist these days. With this fake ass, social media, reality tv, celebrity culture we have. Every girl wants to be a Disney princess, and every man wants to be a rapper.

what the hell is so wrong with being average? this is why our families are falling apart, coz we're all full of shyt. :mjcry:
