I don't know, I have more fond memories of playing vice city than any other GTA, despite it's shortcomings. I even think there was more hype for that game than there was for SA and IV, with it being the follow up to one of the freshest game of the last generation.

I hate when nikkas say an unreleased game is gonna blow the rest out the water nikka it aint even came out yet foh.
But yea San Andreas is probably a top 5 video game alltime, period.
While we here we might as well pay homage to other classic sandbox games, True Crimes NY
True Crime NY was way better than GTA IV and I'm a big GTA fan. GTA IV coming out a couple of years after True Crime had me with the
face cause it was basically the same city as True Crime. They shoulda done GTA IV in a whole new location instead of Liberty City.San Andreas was probably the best but those plane missions pissed me off. I actually gave up on the game for a few months then a friend helped me beat the plane missions. If it wasn't for my friend I woulda never beat that game.

Yeah, it was a new city but if u play True Crime and compare the cities they look pretty much the same. True Crime is based in the real NY. But so many things about True Crime make it way better than GTA IV. Its crazy.
San Andreas played that game for damn near 3 yrs after release and downloaded it on my 360 and I still give it a spin every now & then...currently just saving it @ the riots joining in with the madness, no cheats.
My bro done it 100% back in like 06, do the ambulance missions @ angel pine or w/e & firetruck is easy anyway, then when you go into Big Smoke's crack house that shyt cray with u being able to walk in fire
You know what I've never played Vice City properly, my younger bro drew on the CD when he got annoyed @ the game...was young though under 10 and I never got a replacement - don't think shops sell it for Xbox 360 any more tho

i live in NYC and when i played GTA4 i would be driving around and be like "I know exactly where that place is".

Actually I have been to NY. I went there summer of 2000 stayed in Manhattan.
And that's what I'm saying. GTA IV Liberty City and True Crime New York was like it being the same city. That's why I didn't feel like I was getting something new so I didn't enjoy it as much.
Also the things that were better about True Crime was:
1. The Fighting
2. The Shooting
3. The Missions
4. The Side Missions
I'm a GTA stan but True Crime NY was a way superior game if u ask me.
naw you don't get it. As obriatial said you can be driving in the game and know what neighborhood in real life they were trying to create. Can not be said for true crime at all.
Same thing for GTA 3. That was NY but i only recognize times square in that game. And it was done poorly.
To the major highways down to V.I.M that felt like NYC.

Have u actually played True Crime? Its actually NEW YORK CITY. Its not a fantasy city or an imagination. Its meant to actually BE New York.
That's why the cities in both of the games are so similar. That's why I didn't feel like I was getting a new city.
