i've never been overly impressed with obama's public speaking abilities (bill clinton shyts on him), especially in a debate atmosphere. hillary cooked him throughout the 2008 debates, obama just had that juice that couldn't be stopped. romney has been impressive imo during the republican debates. granted he was up against a group of circus clowns, but i always liked how crisp, aggressive, and on-point his answers were. reading insider reports, apparently this is how romney really is behind the scenes and many wonder why he isn't like this more often in public.

Behind the scenes, (my roommate's close friend is high on the Romney campaign), he's a pretty straight forward guy. Basically find your generic b-school guy and that's who Mitt Romney is. In here at law school we're amazed at how much they don't give a fukk about the social sides of issues and are just numbers and results driven. So think of that business school friend you have that you can chill with but at the end of the day can't agree with on so many things because of how it's all numbers to them and that's Mitt Romney.

More on empathy: Poll shows 69% say Pres Obama cares about their needs and problems - up from 53% before debate.

This is still Romney's problem. People in here can talk all about him winning but at the end of the day, if people don't believe in anything he says nor trusts him, he's not gonna win this election. That's the one advantage Obama had coming into this debate.

People already know who he is. He didn't have to make people believe in what he says. Romney did need to do that and while he won the debate, he didn't say what he was gonna do for the middle class. He just said he was gonna undo everything Obama did. I do think Obama made a good point about him not offering any details up.

its ok...i am too

mad at what? there's nothing to be mad about. romney didn't say anything much. people are getting hyped because romney was basically being more aggressive but when you look at what he said, romney didn't say anything and he even lied. dude is basically flip flopping once again. this will basically come back to bite him in the ass like everything else that he's done. romney is only trying to make a good impression with the people damn well knowing that when it comes to the next two debates, his own sh!t will be used against him. obama is playing it smart. people think he lost by not mentioning bain capital and 47%. PLEASE. if you noticed, most people are NOT even saying romney won by what he said. more of obama letting romney hit him up with attacks about the economy. romney doesn't even have a plan, breh. he didn't say what he would do. obama did. the same sh!t happened in the last debates (sorta). obama doesn't even have to worry. he has his voters on lock. romney needs this sh!t and it still doesn't mean anything. he's still losing. romney better enjoy his moment because he has a long way to go and he's NOT going to win.

i predict that he's finished in the next debate because obama will use the lies that he mentioned on him. romney keeps digging himself a hole.

yes i'm very familiar with his types in my classes. i wish obama challenged him more often b/c a scripted romney is very formidable. i also think romney feels more comfortable in the general election where he can move to the middle and be who he naturally is, a moderate. romney said a lot of crazy shyt in the primaries but obama didn't hold him to the fire about anything. i like obama but his passivity annoys the shyt outta me. even a middle school debate teacher would :pacspit: at this listless performance.

Who would've thought after 4 years in the White House that Obama would look less Presidential than when he came in. In the debate dude looked shook half the time and the rest disinterested. I can see him mailing it in the rest of the debates. Maybe he knows America is f^cked and would rather just lose the election.
