How else are plays and sets drawn up unless they were analyzed and deemed high percentage because they work over and over and over. Analytics might tell Cavs to let Bron iso all game, lol. If that is what works. Analytics doesn't account for real time though, only what's happened.

You play to the strengths of your best players. You're making up your own narrative of what you think "analytics people" want. Duncan passes every "analytical" test of being one of the best players of all time. I dont get where this notion of analytics means shooting 3's is coming from.
Win share per 48 minutes is the most analytical stat out there...and the top 10 of 2015 varies a lot in terms of position.
