Act like you kno shyt about football breh. If he was talented like Messi(when he was just 12) for example Barca or any of the big clubs would have taken him, but he was just pure shyt, no matter how bad you are you dont play for the fukkin 4th divison finnosh teams.

He was overhyped to fukk, that simple. I think the hype helped ruin him as well, he was never going to be a superstar but maybe he could have been something without all the pressure and spotlight at a young age.

This happens all the time in football, someone is the next pele, cruyff, maradona or jinky but they turn out shyte. Is what it is. :yeshrug:

Man united is a moronic club. They dont even have a top academy. They bought a player once without ever seeing him play! They are a marketing machine and they make a lot of money, they saw him as a means to break into american markets nothing more.

I'll give that they are not the best academy in the world but many if not most of the dudes that Freddy would've played with in the Man Utd academy are playing in the PL or used to, just not with Man Utd, and I would call that a better result then playing in the #2 football league in the US

Maybe i was being harsh on their academy, but its not comparable to la masia or ajax academy for example. They got lucky woth a once in a lifetime generation and so they have a lot of goodwill but they are just not good enough to compare to the best in the world.

AC Milan offered him 200K when he was 10.

His family said no

Watch some of his U-20, U-23 and senior team performances

My friend lives in tampa and he ran into Freddy at the casino at the hard rock. Said he didn't recognize him at first cuz he was lowkey with a hoodie on. Finally asked him if he was Adu cuz he had a nice watch on and said he gave him that MJ response to Chamillionaire, bein a straight up dikk. My friend was like how u gonna act like ur too good for ppl. He's lucky to even be spotted in 2016. :mjlol:

He still is talented. The problem is, he's all skills but his football IQ isn't all that and his size and athlete ability is in the lower tier. If he could improve his football IQ and really improve his confidence back to what it was then, he could be pretty good as far as NASL and MLS players go but it's extremely unlikely he will ever be a euro player.

Remember when Joe Cole was dubbed the "British Zidane"?

Or when Quaresma was considered the "next Cristiano Ronaldo"?

:mjlol:WHAT!? Even as someone that hates Man Utd fans, their academy is among one of the greatest academies in world Football, at the very least it's top 10. Danny Drinkwater is coming off a phenomenal season for Leicester City (a product of the Man Utd academy), Paul Pogba, Rashford is looking fantastic, Lingard is coming on very well, Mcnair is looking good, Danny Welbeck, Beckham, Scholes, Giggs, Butt, Neville brothers, the list goes on and on - they have pumped out talent for decades.

Danny Drinkwater........jesus lets pretend you didn't say his name, the fact that Leicester is top right now is because the Premier League is an embarrassment no wonder they keep getting fukked in Europe. Barca, Real, Atletico, Bayern, Dortmund, Juve would literally destroy this club with ease but the shytty "Greatet League in teh World" cant.....says it all really. shyt player.

Paul Pogba was 16 when he came to United so I wouldn't exactly call him a United product.

Rashford is a child so I can't judge him yet, needs more time.

Lingard is not and will never be top quality, he's lucky he could get a game. One trick pony, couldn't even do well at the clubs he was loaned at and can't finish if his life depended on it.

McNair is doing horribly at Celtic.....he is not good.....at all and based on all reports will be sold.

Danny Welbeck....yeah Idk he gives you a few good games and becomes anonymous.

As for the class of 92 I already said they were great but really only Giggs and Scholes were great the rest were just hard workers.

Compare these players to La Masia, Jung Ajax, or the Bayern Academy and it is astounding the disparity in truly cultivating players. England is a complete fukking joke and teaches no technique just kick the ball and run really fast. Pathetic.

Nah breh English Acadamies are absolutely terrible at developing talent for the long term, the recurring theme of English football is some homegrown talent has an incredible season but because of either incompetence by the higher ups or succumbing to the pressure they always fall short.
For the past almost 20 years the best and most talented players in the premier league have always been foreign.

Rashford is doing good but they will fukk him up and he will end up being another Danny welbeck.

Imo Sturridge and Sterling were definitely going to be world class, but their own respective career choices fukked them up.

Premier League is the greatest and most competitive league in world football. It isn't dominated by any one team or a couple of teams like La Liga, the Bundesliga, Ligue 1. Teams in the bottom 3 can beat teams chasing for the title and not get trounced 11-0 like they do in Spain or France. But we're digressing here, fact of the matter is the Utd academy is amongst the elite in world football. I would be interested to see teams like Barcelona perform in the premier league week in and week out and see if there's a correlation with their European performance. Will all due respect, playing a team like West Ham and Rayo Vallecano are 2 different animals.

The Ajax, Barca and Bayern academies are probably better and I didn't say they weren't but to say that the academy is a joke is doing it a disservice. That is a crazy opinion breh

I thought most of those players on that under 20 team were going to be special :francis:

They all flopped except for Jozy and Bradley
