dude wasn't good enough to play in Finland's top league so his (now former team) had to send him to an affiliate team which was playing in the 4th highest division.

Adu is either gonna retire soon or return to USA to play in some semi-professional league.

the sad thing about all this was that freddy was doing just fine at the union but released due to salary cap nonsense then his 2nd world tour started

Imagine if he'd gone to Amsterdam to learn in Ajax's academy with other talented teen players instead of being made to play against 3rd rate dudes in their 20's and 30's like some kind of show pony
I just dont think he ever had the talent for any top academy. Its easy to look good against shytty ametican players but european, african, and south american players would never let him try that shyt.

Dude was offered a contract with Man Utd after 14 day trial when he was 15-16 years old but couldn't get a working permit. Also he was getting paid as a professional in the US when he was 14 years old and in many countries you can't sign that kind of deal until you are 16 or 18 years old.

Adu is talented but that's not enough when you have to have the size and speed which he lacked.

Man united is a moronic club. They dont even have a top academy. They bought a player once without ever seeing him play! They are a marketing machine and they make a lot of money, they saw him as a means to break into american markets nothing more.

whats crazy is dude has made a good amount of money and is young as hell...should have chose to play for Team Ghana though, it would have helped his game more. :manny:

Ain't no way in hell he would've made that Black Stars roster as a mainstay.

Let's call Freddy Adu what he was: an overhyped and overrated young prospect.
