And you expect him, with the information we were given about him, to learn C and C++? :aicmon:

Why not learn Java.... and take advantage of the fact that it's hot right now.
focus on HTML5, PHP, and MySQL instead. It is guaranteed to work on all recent browsers and is constantly evolving. I linked that book to him to get his feet wet in different areas...I still hold the idea that once you learn your first language the rest become easier to follow. Those dummy books helped me get started a while ago.

C and C++ might be a little too much for him to start off.

Uhhh don't listen to anyone telling you to learn Java. You're a HS dropout - you probably lack a combination of brightness, discipline and most importantly a hard work ethic to commit to something like learning a programming language. And besides, while you're leaning this stuff, the bills aren't going to pay themselves.

Don't go to college either, again, you lack the above for it to truly benefit you. Though I may be wrong, you could be a changed man. But most likely you don't have in you to follow through and commit.

Hence, imo, you're better off focusing on improving your character flaws than your skill-set right now - improving your risk taking, confidence, discipline, work ethic etc.>*. Your best to becoming a better man is the military(reserve if u just want the benefits and not too much hassle). There is a lot of risk however - it may just exacerbate your already weak character. You might die as well lol. But you already display an earnestness to improve yourself so it can only benefit you imo. Plus you can learn Java on your time while you're at it.

Or try an apprenticeship. All that other stuff(college, Learning a programming language etc) sorry bro, you have a Camron avi(no offense i like him), but I just don't believe in you.

Dog for the love of God learn a trade. My list would go:

Electrical
Plumbing
Hvac
Carpentry

You can always take classes on the side and earn an associates. That's pretty much all you need breh. Trust me on this, as someone with high degrees and such learning a trade is a good thing in this world

Yup. all that CC to 4 year college shyt sounds nice, but if school aint for you it aint for you.

I know a couple rat bytches that make over 100K. Anyone can do anything if they write out a plan and work towards goals..... even if you don't make your goals at least you will have some results.

I agree. This kid might be a rat bytch who gets lucky. Most likely, however, he's not. I'm just giving him the "you're a fukk up and most likely will continue to be a fukk up, but here's the MOST surefire way to stop being a fukk up" advice.

I'll leave the panglossian advice to you IT gawds.

So I just learned a new word. Anyway, at the very least he could get a CNA or something and save his money.. You feed people big dreams so that when they shoot for those and end up with only meeting small goals; they're still better than when they started.

Talking about weak character? :why: You think it's easy to get in a ring and fight other nikkas that actually know how to fight? One on one you are on your own in there. And dont bullshyt me with have no work ethic shyt. I've ran more miles this last year than you will in your life.

breh. I will personally help you if you are committed. Stop going back and forth in the thread and tell us what your plan is. Tell me your plans for the next year starting today, i.e. when are CC classes starting, when is the application deadline, which apprenticeship were you planning of doing and what are the next steps towards those. If you post that we will help you figure something out. Let's do this
