high school dropout for 2 years.
was intelligent but probably killed most of my braincells with alcohol abuse.

i might be going to community college next year but people are telling me to get an apprenticeship and learn a trade.

breh the world isn't kind to HS dropouts. You need to get it together if you want to survive out here.

Do the trade and go to CC at night. Start building your schedule and mindset from right now. Start getting your mind right. Do you have a job right now? Get one if you don't

i dont know where to find anything. my friends that got apprenticeships only got them because their family knows the people and they all work at the same
place. i have literally zero connections like that.

Find something, anything just to start building up your schedule and skills and make some income on the side. Cashier, gas pump, whatever breh. You can't find anything?

Okay. What can you do to get into a routine? Can you volunteer someplace? My point is that even if you go to CC and do the apprenticeship and all that you'll still need to make sure you can actually do those things and don't mess them up again

Have a plan. Know exactly what you plan to do before you enroll in community college. Stay there for 2 years then move on to a university, school is all about how much time you're willing to dedicate to it. If you work hard you can do it. But don't fukk around because it's going to cost you a lot of money if you do. If you're not 100% in, you're not going to do well. Try to get a degree that you know will lead to a job.

I want to get training for a bunch of stuff. Unemployment sucks. I want to get qualified for security, data clerk entry, fork lift etc. I hate looking for jobs online like "i cant do that, i cant do that, I'm not qualified".

knowing you have options is good for you. And this way your making above minimum wage which will help going to school.

For me, I just want to stack dough at the same time narrowing down, preparing myself to focus on what I want to do for school. (architecture, business, art, etc?) I'm just working on getting the money so when I know what I want to do, I'll also be ready for it.

I've also been tattooing since 18 so as long as I draw I can make some money on the side and I have a future with that. I'm working towards a private studio.

It's a different dynamic when YOUR HANDS make you money. YOU are a source of income, your not looking for employment. Learning a trade is the same thing. But doesn't mean you should stop there. You could potentially own your own business, even if its you and a few other friends in trades (plumbing, electric, drywall, etc) But it's all about what YOUR willing to do.
