The funny thing about Avon wanting to stick to being a gangsta was that during all those years of him being pretty much untouchable, unfukkwittable status had even softened him up a bit. The scene that shows this was when Omar almost got him in the streets. You could see he had legit fear in his eyes at that point (unlike both times when Marlo was under the gun and showed no fear whatsoever, despite not even having a burner on him at either occasion). You could probably even say that him not killing Stringer himself personally when he found out the truth about D as another sign of him weakening a bit as well.
Man, the depth of character development and themes of this show within having as many characters and themes on the show is pretty much unprecedented on tv. I'm almost mad at myself for sleeping on the show so hard during its run and just writing it off as another drug drama. Though I do appreciate being able to consume it all at 1nce rather than having to wait it out season after season, lol. Definitely a goat tv series and the goat crime drama, for sure.
