Just finished watching all 5 seasons.

He made one to many bad choices, though admirable.

He really fukked up when he put Brother Mouzone in the cross and underestimated the brothers ingenuity....BUT..thats all part of the writing...correct?

If Omar had outright killed the Brother, for storyline sake...String MIGHT have stayed alive...

He had to go. Got scammed by Clay Davis, set Omar loose on Muzone and had D'Angelo killed. Avon was all about family, whatever he may have thought about D, he was still blood. Not to mention fukking D's baby mama.
