in the intellectual logic that Russell and other people made up to defend rap there is nothing wrong with this video
everybody thinks this is wrong, and i agree, but why is this wrong exactly?
a lot of the arguments that were used to defend vile things said in rap can easily be used to defend this, like why is anybody upset over this why dont they deal with real issues. there is racial profiling and huge inequality in this country, lets talk about that, this video is just young people expressing themselves and how they see the world, its an authentic view of how people view harriet tubman in 2013, maybe you dont get it because you are out of touch ......

Every racial group has their heroes,people they look up to etc. Harriet Tubman is a monumental figure that has a history we will always remember. for anybody to disrespect or disgrace her name and not see how wrong it is I don't know what to say.
The new generation of youngsters are disconnected from their roots.I blame their parents for this. LOL i agree with you 100%, i was just playing devil's advocate and imitating what russel would say. I was just trying to show that the same arguments that russell (and admittedly all of us) used to defend the crazy shyt in rap music would also apply to this video
back in the day i use to hate delores tuckers as much as any rap head, but i think she had a point, you cant use freedom of speech and let people put out whatever, we need to have standards, if the art is not uplifting to black culture and elevating black people we need to re-think what the hell we are doing
when i watched this video, i felt the same way i felt when i watched or heard nikkas in paris, i was just like what the hell are these negroes doing? where are these negroes taking our culture? is that where we want to go as a culture? now im starting to see why delores tucker was tripping
