From what I'm reading, this is a lawsuit and not a criminal case. Can you sue someone who doesn't live in UK and has no assets there.Does someone have a transcript?
That doesn't sound legally sound. I'd expect a court to have jurisdiction over damages caused within its jurisdiction.
Like I couldn't beat someone to a pulp in New York and then raise a jurisdiction issue because I live in the UK.
