I've always vouched for Donovan. He threw for four scores in that game on a 50% completion rate, but he is beasting. Can't knock his game at all, the Cardinals do have a legit defense.

But again, I didn't give him the nod because a few games vs. an entire season of doing it. I didn't start giving that nod to Peyton until he started making guys like Tamme look nice.

So u saying u didn't give Peyton props until 2010....:troll:

Mcnabb was a very good qb but inaccurate at times was his one big flaw

People use his win pct and how amazing it is because of his lack of weapons but he also had a damn good d most of his time there under Jim Johnson so it wasnt like Mcnabb was under presure to have to score 30 every game to win either like a Manning was

No, I was saying that he hadn't shown that he could make marginal talent look great before that. I was always telling people that certain guys did more with less, but that they also probably wouldn't replicate his numbers if they did have his weapons (with a couple of exceptions: Warner, Brady, guys like that).

This is circa 2007.

I would only take SB winning QBs over McNabb, only thing lackin' on his resume, not to mention he's 17th all time in passing yards and probably could still play RIGHT NOW. I'll never forget 4th and 26 D-Mac :to: Him and T.O. could have been greatness if they got off their bish azz steez. Manning and Harrison struggled for years, these two nincompoops couldn't handle two seasons together :snoop:

You can't really blame McNabb for he and T.O. not being able to make it past two seasons playing together. There were about a hundred reasons why T.O. didn't play long in Philly.

As far as current QB's in the league in their primes:

Brady
Peyton
Rivers
Eli
Rodgers
Brees

To be honest, I may not have 10 QB's of all-time I'd take over McNabb.

This is bullshyt that needs to stop. All you have to do is look through the NFL postseason record books and see how many Pats WR names you see. They weren't HOFers by any means but those guys made plays. If Thrash and Co. made some of the plays that Branch, Givens, Brown and co. made McNabb would have a ring or two. If recievers aren't good they aren't good and a Qb isn't gonna be able to do shyt about it.

dog u talk out of both sides of your mouth.

you can't continue to pick and choose when to give receivers credit when it fits your argument.

Marvin Harrison and Reggie Wayne had no problem showing up in the earlier rounds against bum sqauds and wack defenses, just like Peyton. They were just a soft finesse team that bytched up when the Patriots bullied them or when the Chargers or Steelers bullied them. The Pats receivers showed up because even without Dillon the Patriots were committed to playing about 50-50 run to pass and they called good plays and Brady hit them. The pressure wasn't on the receivers to make every play and since Brady had no favorites, it wasn't like you could key in and bully certain guys. Coming into the SB, perhaps Branch aside, those Patriots WRs weren't playing better than the Eagles WRs at all. Then Donovan got TO back which gave him a clear receiving core advantage. Nope, you can't make this comparison.

The Patriots receivers were tougher than the Eagles receivers, but they were no more talented. Guys like Pinkston may have been punks but McNabb was also inaccurate so there was always the fear of getting laid out. Brady was hitting guys in the hands in stride and giving them the chance to run after the catch and to protect themselves. That's why TO was perfect for Donovan, he wasn't scared to go across the middle and catch everything.

TO was perfect for Donovan because he was mothafukkin beast! That is all. I saw numerous occassions when Pinkston and co. were wide open and just dropped balls. That is on the occasions when they could get open. To act as if the drops were mostly a function of fear of getting laid out is just plain dishonest. Especially when you consider that Donovan was prone to through the ball low. How many nikkas you seen get laid out on low throws? :stopitslime:

Save the semantics. If a receiver is tougher than another one and talent is comparable then guess what...the tougher reciever is better. :snoop: Why are you so determined to down play the Pats recievers? In football of all sports everybody has got to be playing at a certain level for a team to be successful. We saw Brady when he really didn't have recievers (07) and it bit him and the team in the ass and they went out and remedied that shyt with a quickness.

For the record I put Brady over Donovan and you were the one who started comparing them so I'm not sure why you keep pushing that shyt.

What's a Prime McNabb though? 2004, 2007-2009?

:childplease: @ the dude bringing up wins

I brought up Wins cause that's what a QB is judge for. Regular Season Mcnabb is 12 ALL TIME. That means only 11 QB's won more Regular Season games. In the Playoffs Mcnabb is 11th all time that means only 10 QB's won more total playoff games than Donovan. Sure he didn't win the title but he had his team right there in contention year in and year out basically his whole time in Philly. Mcnabb's Prime was probably 2000-2005, during that time he had 5 Playoff Seasons, 4 NFC Title Game Appearances in a ROW and a Superbowl Appearance in which his team lost to a Dynasty by 3 points and he managed to put up Top 5 Passing Yards in Super Bowl History. Also if you look at Passing Yards, TD's, INT's Ratio, Rushing Yards and TD's for a QB. Donovan ranks with some of the best numbers for a QB Ever.
