You can pretty much guarantee he'll be a 1000 yard a year WR. Even if he's not a clear top 10 WR he can still be productive. How does that get GM fired?

The only players who will really set a franchise back are QB's. They're expected to be saviors. You're pretty much forced to give them two or three seasons and they need to play at a very high level to justify a top 5 pick. If you trade up you're surrendering future 1st's so there's even more pressure.

49ers got lucky as hell that Purdy is who he is and not who people thought he’d be

He 100% saved a couple jobs in that building

that Panthers trade might've set a new precedent for trading up that's effectively ruining multiple drafts if you don't hit. Even if Young does pan out as being a generational toddler sized QB... if they don't hit on all the other picks in the next 2-3 drafts, that GM's getting bushed.

The worst part of that trade was going all in on a weaker prospect than the top QB of this draft. They could have stayed where they were and tanked for Caleb.

They put Bryce on a bad team and now they don't have the draft capital to improve. Should have sat him until he had better talent around him.

Historically, Charlotte is a place that FA's simply do not want to go... nor stay if the option for greener pastures presents itself.

Maybe it's the amenities of the city, or just 2 shytty owners and a bad front office.

Honestly, Joe Alt at #5 straight up might. You better hope this guy can play tackle because he won't be able to play guard or center at his height.
Additionally, you better hope Nabers and Bowers aren't monsters.
You better hope Justin Herbert's numbers don't nose dive without Keenan and a true #1.
They're basically going to be banking on 2nd round picks to make up the production Keenan and Mike Williams took with them.

They better not ruin Justin Herbert's prime.

I don't know if it was Harbaugh's call, but Hortiz will get the blame if this goes south and the Chargers aren't a contender in 2 years.
