What makes for a dope comic book movie?

the fact is cap doesn't get lost in a sea of big, colorful characters

The fact is that none of those characters really made much of a major impression in either movie aside from Loki and The Hulk in the first Avengers and James Spader's voice in AOU.
All of the characters were pretty much the same in terms of impact.
