I knew dude was gonna be fun/scary to watch off that line alone. That's just sinister
Still crazy to me that the last images you saw of Marlo was him having everything Stringer was working for and pretty much disregarding it just to go chase some hoppers off a corner simply because he could. I like that they toe'd the line of making it seem as if "Marlo himself isn't the danger, Chris and Snoop are" then you think about the fact that he killed the girl Avon set up on him personally as well as ran those boys off the corner with no weapon at the end.

Yea, D might not have been built for the game and was forced into it, and was a dummy for letting bunk manipulate him into writing letters...but at the same time, he remained loyal at the end of the day.. HE NEVER COOPERATED (unlike String).. Avon may not have killed String right after he found out, but they definitely were not cool after that.. There was tension everytine they were in the same room with Avon constantly giving String the 
face.. You seen what Avon did when he found out the shady wat String handled Brother Mouzune 
And to answer your other question.. No I wouldn't have started smashing D baby mom on a regular.. nikkas get merked for WAAAAAY less, especially in a mobb style organization where the nikka in jail is eating charges doing 10 to 20

Stop what?? Did he or did he not snitch and eat the charge?? If he wanted to snitch about the contaminated drugs that got sent in the prison, what proof would he have?? He wasn't apart of them anymore and just wanted out. D didn't sign up for shyt.. His family was deep rooted in the game. He was basically a less bytchmade version of Naymond (Weebay son) He wanted no more parts, just like Cutty, and should've been given that opportunity, especially after NOT COOPERATING.. and plus, nobody knows how close he came to talking accept the DA.. Mcnulty, and his mom.. D not testifying, looking at 20 years should've been enough to not merk the nikka. Where is the code?

Yeah the difference showed how Stringer thrived for the corporate embrace while all Marlo cared about was his name on the streets. It was a dope touch showing how the kids on the corner were talking about Omar but had no idea who Marlo was. It showed that Omar's name was ringing in the streets but Marlo had kept such a low profile in terms of his face in the streets that they had no clue who he was just by looking at him.
He killed D because he started doing heavy drugs in prison and distancing himself from Avon. Once a nikka gets on drugs you can't trust them. They might do anything at that point, he became a junkie. And him not talking to Avon made it very difficult to know where his head was at. He claimed he wouldn't flip but those combined things plus with the fact he did flip before and then recanted, made it where he felt he didn't have a choice. D was a chump anyway.

Omar didn't fear Marlo.
Stringer didn't fear Marlo.
Slim Charles didn't fear Marlo.
Michael didn't fear Marlo either, even prior to joining them
I was talking in regards his crew, no one in his crew would dare cross or go against him like String did Avon
Michael went against him all the time, or at least questioned him often
And Chris and Snoop weren't scared of him at all, just loyal.
