I don't know what show you nikkas is watching but Avon was the king the WHOLE time. Even at the end he's the only one who kept his Life And Name. Avon betrayed string after he fukked up so many times that he couldn't even fix it. Even after finding out about the lies string told him, Avon tried to fix it but it was Avons rep AND life vs stringers.

String constantly put money over EVERYTHING. He was always tryna be slick but he was doing shyt thats slick IF IT WORKS. BUT.. If it didn't work... you deserve a bullet in your head. I was happy as hell when they killed him because he was always getting away with stupid slick shyt and getting everybody hurt but himself. Stinger had to go mayne
Avon told that slick nikka many times "aye.. you shouldn't have did that" He was a hardhead nikka that avon summed up perfectly "you ain't smart enough for that world and you ain't hard enough for this world. You a man with no country"

Marlo was another STRINGER problem that Avon had to fix. Stringer's whole approach to that shyt made him look like a p*ssy and gave marlo the motivation and confidence needed to take them to war. Avon and marlo are the exact same people just 15-20 years apart. Avon was everything marlo WAS and more because he survived long enough to learn game that marlo had yet to learn. That's why avon didn't trip off marlo too much because he understood marlo and viewed him as a necessary part of the game. "No marlo, no game"

You're bugging. Chris was smarter than Stringer to me. Stringer wasn't that bright. The whole Clay Davis thing exposed that. Chris rarely made a decision that wasn't completely on point. You can tell Chris mind was perfect for combat and strategy on what to do against an opponent. And was always alert and on point. There's many times when all Stringer thought about was the money aspect. Stringer's problem was he tried to act like the street game is the corporate game and he's not that smart in either. In the Corporate world he got exposed as being a street nikka with money but no idea how things worked. In the underworld he got exposed by thinking you don't have to worry about reputation and violence and thought you can get by off just using finesse. Them young nikkas out there only respected violence. That's why Avon barked on him all the time because he thought this street shyt was ballet.

Omar was like a gnat to the Barksdales, he caught them off guard a few times, but once they regrouped Bay put a bullet in him and made that nikka leave town, Omar couldn't bang it out with the Barksdales like he did Marlo, he had to result to snitching and such......Like I said in a few post before as far as that war shyt went the Barksdales were on a different level, and the show conveyed that subtly..........

I agree with everything but this riight here.

Marlo was quietly getting his money and muscle up. Marlo was NOT reckless and stupid. He had the territory around them towers for a while, EVEN when the towers was selling dog shyt before string dumb ass gave Joe A FEW towers -BUT he never tried to take the towers or ANY barksdale territory. He was gettin in where he fit. Like any young lion he wanted the crown but he knew he couldn't just take it, it had to be HIS time. Avon had to get real weak before he could make a move. With string running shyt, he saw a lot of weakness.. especially after that p*ssy ass meeting string set up AFTER marlo whooped his crews ass

He asked about the co-op outta respect for string. Avon hated the co-op and Joe snake ass. Remember that nikka String sitting in the backseat with his face all BALLED UP when Avon was goin in?

Blame Joe, Joe showed he could have got Marlo murked easily, he put Omar on Marlo.......That was a slight jab, to let Marlo know at the time that Joe was the King......Marlo took a mental note of it though, and once he got cheese on his side, he most likely found out about Joe setting up Omar to rob him twice............
