I haven't read the entire thread, but the thing we saw with marlo's crew is he had his top enforcers basically for the entire duration of the show. whereas with the barksdales, they lost wee-bay in season 1 to incarceration, and he was easily their top enforcer. barksdales lost a lot of their muscle when he left the streets.

Facts. People who pay attention already knew because Marlo suggested Mike do it and Chris said no, his first kill should be someone he doesn't know, and then Marlo said get the young pup to do it which was O-Dogg.

Someone in this thread already mentioned, Omar took it to Marlo way harder than he did to Barksdale. Hell even a Omar with a broken leg walking around town with a cane was still dropping Marlos muscle
You think that shyt would happen to Barksdale crew season 1? Bird alone probably wouldve bodied Omar if he walkn around on one leg.

Nah. Slim and them had the drop. They could've gotten Marlo. Marlo was still a puppy. Avon had rounded up hitters from everywhere. What Marlo did was make it so Omar had to come look for him and it still ain't work. Kennard took that body. Not Marlo's mercenaries. Omar had Marlo's people scared to death.
