You should only hate them if you are of equal weight to them. You ratio to your bodyweight should be what you are judging against. Someone posted this link recently, check it out:

If you don't want to test your true one rep max for mental reasons (personally I don't like the idea, I'm not a powerlifter) then just find your 5 rep max and use the calculator.

I'm about 1 month away from being intermediate level, other than squat which I'm lagging a bit while I still work on my technique. I'm probably 2-3 months from intermediate squat level.

410 on squats 90 degrees 315 on ATG
525 on deadlifts...tried 575 got it up like a couple of inches after attempting 525 :pachaha:

80lbs on weighted pullups

tried 80lbs on db shoulder press today got 6 clean reps..maybe more if i was fresh

knocked 225 for 12 reps on bb chest press.

need to attempt some heavy military press to see where im at. :flabbynsick:

Does the chalk for deadlifts really make a difference? My palms are starting to look like speed bumps :scusthov:


Chalk helps immensely if you have grip issues. I could barely do 2x315 deadlifting without chalk and was able to go up to 415 on deads by using chalk. It's the best thing if you have grip issues cause it'll help on other lifts as well (barbell bench, rows, pullups, etc).
