Man. I was donating plasma twice a week, 2 years straight before the bandemic.
Top is a Fidelity investment account goes back to 2019.In order, do you mind just stating what kinds of accounts these are?
I have two savings, a checking, a 401k, and a crypto account. But as I discussed with you prior, I'm looking to expand on my financial vehicles often as I build up...
Also a suggestion was given here recently not to have a lot of money in your savings. Do you agree with that, and why or why not?
Ain’t shyt changed much. 401K grew by about $3K since the start of this year, savings went down $3K for recent car repairs , and my emergency savings and checking account is stillA cool $10K in my savings account
A nice $40K in my 401K account.
My emergency savings and checking account stay on
Top is a Fidelity investment account goes back to 2019.
Second is a M1 finance investing account from 2021.
Third is a Robinhood account from 2021.
Fouth is a SoFi account from 2019.
All of them are just places I put free money. They aren't retirement accounts just places I try and put free money to grow. I kinda regret not starting any investment accounts until 2019 outside retirement accounts.
Hopefully you don’t mean the actual bank account because having that much sitting in a savings account is LOL
It does the least for you for at those amounts. Not growing at all. You can get WAY more out of the bulk of that by doing other things with it. Keep maybe 30k or so on hand liquid for emergenciesI've done some reading but sometimes I need shyt clearly spelled out for me; I don't come from a family that taught me financial literacy so as I continue to teach myself, I struggle understanding shyt...
Can you tell me the purpose behind having an investment or M1 account when you already have a 401k? Do these accounts grow at the same rate as a 401k, and can you have it set up for automatic deposits into these accounts like a 401k is automatically deposited into each check?
This was said on another thread recently. How much money would you keep in your bank account savings or checking, and why? I'm a novice with this stuff and until the other day I'd never heard anyone in my life say you shouldn't keep most of your money in the bank, so if you're able to break down why not for me I'd really appreciate it!
