A little more than 4 years ago I benched 525. You'll claim bullshyt but honestly I dont give a fukk. Its more attainable then you think. Its all about how much your willing to sacrifice and I tore my body apart for it. I had a nice dead lift too.

But ive been to powerhouse gym and golds down in LA/venice beach and them nyggaz put me to shame. them cats was reppin 500 like nothin. Big gladiator lookin muhfukkaz in steel toe bootz and shyyt. i thought i was doin it big:pachaha:

:myman:

how much could you deadlift?

you say you tore your body apart, so do you have permanent aches or injuries from your heavy lifting? was it worth it?

What's your height & how much did you weigh at the time?

When I maxed out at 415lbs, I was 5'8" and I weighed 253lbs. I was also in a contest afterward to see how much you could do your own body weight. Since I weighed 253lbs, I had to rep 255lbs. I did it 18 times.

I workout solo. No homies or anything willing to workout...so I don't really see how much other people put up on the bench.

I never tried maxing out, but I'm 174 5'9 and I can only push 185 x3 :snoop:

I need to step my game up.

same here, pretty much why stick to DBs

I did 750 around that same time. Yea my shoulders and elbows. I can't do some exercises anymore because of it.

I was overtraining and wasn't giving my body enough time to recover. For years I worked out 6 days a week about 3 hours a day. I didn't drink any alcohol or any soda. No junk food. I ate to the point where I was going to throw up. I'd wake myself up in the middle of the night just to eat and take in a shake. Was always in the Gym by 4:30am. I was constantly changing up my workout but I did a lot of 5x5s and mechanical drop sets and reg drop sets. Of course theres a lot more to it than that but I'd be here all day. It was a lot of sacrifice but was it worth it.. I think so. It was hard at the time because everyone your age is drinking and partying. While I'm drinking protein shakes and lifting.

People outta jealousy are gonna doubt you thats just how people are but I had my brother with me on every max I ever attempted. He knows and a few friends so thats something my kids will find out eventually. And its bigger than just moving weight. Along the line I proved a lot of people wrong by setting my sights on goals and crushin them. I took that mentality into the rest of my life and its helped a lot.

I was 5'10 225 lbs with just under 5% body fat. I was a hard gainer and i fought for every pound I had, and I did it the right way. More than anything I'm proud of that.

People need to realize its not about your height or your weight. Those are excuses to be satisfied. Those boundaries, you know those limits they put on you, are there to be broken.

I maxed out at 215lbs (two reps) a few years ago but I haven't been able to get back into the routine I had back then.

I did 195lbs 4 times the other day so I'm getting back up there.

thats dedication man :wow:

sounds like your journey made you stronger in more ways than one

i don't mean to interrogate you, but im asking you a lot cuz you put in that work and got great results and i like to get insight from ppl that do rare things.

in terms of your injuries do you think they could have been avoided if you had taken a slightly diff approach and how much did they set you back permanently? lifting hard and eating right is manageable, but i don't wanna feel like im 65 when im 35 either.

by the way if you aren't takin anything for your joints/injuries then maybe you should look into glycine powder or jello because they are suppose to increase collagen production which is the building block of healthy cartilage/joints. i've heard some very good things about it..

how much of your size/strength were you able to keep after you "toned it down"?

by "did it the right way" do you mean dedication wise or drug free?

do you remember what your beginning stats weight/strength wise were before that 6year period of grinding?

i appreciate any insight that you might have....
