everyone cares about X-men as a unit...the reason why the series DIED a slow death was the decision to focus on the wrong individuals (mystique, and that wet blanket jean grey performance), and never getting to the cyclops and storm led xmen blue and gold teams and the lineup above, and from the animated series.

fox VALUED the xmen property over the avengers and others when marvel was broke asf. Nobody gave a shyt about the Avengers until the movies. Your entire take on the x-men is erroneous breh

the first trilogy just had jubilee as a literal extra
Colossus(pre deadpool), bishop, and Kitty just had a brief cameos. shyt like that. At minimum use them as side kicks in major supporting roles if they not important enough to star.

the more militant modern takes of cyclops and xavier would be interesting given that we had their more traditional portrayals with fox

genosha and/or krakoa, having a mutant only island/state based on whatever series of events depending on how they introduce the mutants would be different

who they cast as the new wolverine would be important, hope he is more of the gritty loner of the team as opposed to the face of the team from the start, cyclops and storm should get way more emphasis this time round

The perfect answer for the Magneto Holocaust issue is to make the character a black man who survived the racist South in the 60s/70s.

They could just change it from him being in the Holocaust to him being a child from somewhere like Yugoslavia back in like the 80s. And have his powers develop during the Bosnian war in the early 90s.
