- John Travolta turning down the starring role in An Officer & a Gentleman, Midnight Express, Forrest Gump and Chicago.

- Jack Nicholson turning down the starring role in 1978's Coming Home to do Goin' South:what:. He could have won another Oscar - and tied Katharine Hepburn at four statues a piece - had he done Coming Home. Nicholson also turned down the starring role in both Apocalypse Now & Rain Man. He's still a bad muthafukka, though.

- Marlon Brando turning down the starring role in The Conversation. The '70s could have been another classic decade for Brando, but he was just so damn lazy after his classic 1972 year. All he wanted to do was eat, fukk those Asian/Tahitian chicks he was infactuated with, and make as much money as he could while doing as little work as possible(See: Superman).

- Elvis Presley turning down the starring role in West Side Story(Killed any chance he had at being a serious actor).

- Nicole Kidman turning down the leading actress role in Chicago. She also refused to do a screen test for the part of Jenny in Forrest Gump.

- Diana Ross screwing up her role in The Bodyguard in 1979, due to her bytchy, diva-like antics during rehearsals. Producers eventually shut the production down, and thus ended Diana's career as a big screen actress. Whitney Houston would play the same role some 13 years later and the rest is history.

- Eddie Murphy turning down Ghostbusters to do Best Defense. He later said the money they offered him to do Best Defense was too good to pass up at the time. Understandable. :ehh:

He also turned down Rush Hour to do Holy Man,:beli: Chris Tucker later got the part in Rush Hour. Inexcusable.

- Alyssa Milano turning down the leading actress role in Speed. She was never able to get her career going in movies.

- Molly Ringwald turned down the leading role in Pretty Woman. I have no idea if the film would've been successful with her, but who knows?

Whether Predators was a continuation or reboot always confused me. Rodriquez to me was never clear on it. Some people said it was strictly a reboot and only followed behind the first Predator film and ignored the second one, while others say its a continuation in the franchise.

I thought he was pretty clear about it. I guess only me and @kp404 got that memo tho:whoknows:

What of note happened in the 2nd film for it to be ignored? the predator saw the city and lived to go back to hibernation. And a reboot doesnt follow any installment of an original series, it uses the orgins/backstory and creates its own continuity. If it was said predators follows the first film that is a sequel

Sam Worthington from Avatar and Terminator signing onto those Clash of The Titan movies.

He went from being pushed as the next big thing in Hollywood to being close to irrelevant within the span of a couple of years because of how shytty those movies were. :mjlol:

Luckily for him he's still guarunteed to eat off those Avatar sequels so if he finds a new agent and stays far away from the Clash of the Titans franchise there may still be hope for him.

I loved Sam Worthington at first (thought he was the bright spot in Salvation) and he should eat good off the avatar sequels...I heard he was in the running for Bond before Craig was cast. He had so much potential....

nikka just left Hannibal too. I don't know what's wrong with him, he can act

I really gotta start watching Hannibal.....I didnt even know dude was in it, as side from him being a dikk, I like his work for the most part.

Topher Grace choosing to play Eddie Brock/Venom in Spider Man 3

Those movies suck because of Worthington. He's a terrible actor in every sense

It's not a bad decision per say but it's just so sad and tragic this is the only place I could talk about it: Pierce Brosnan was almost Bond in 1987. Homie had the role and was free to take it because Remington Steele was cancelled. And even tho there was a 30 60 day clause in the contract that said a studio 60 days to resurrect the show and if they did he'd have to come back. But the deal was done and right when he and the press agent for United artists were leaving to do the big James bond press conference, he gets a phone call. He decides to answer the phone and it turns out a network picked the show up at the last possible minute on the 60th day. Homie was crushed. Timothy dalton took his place and he wouldn't be Bond until 95.

So even tho he got the role 8 years later, I guess you could say his worst mistake is picking up a phone

That’s the wrong question. Plus, Ray never had any genuine interest in acting beyond that movie.

Acting would've opened another door for Iverson had he wanted go that route. Iverson definitely had an eye on the entertainment role (remember, he wanted to rap) and that role would've given him more visibility.
