What is the 'END-GAME' for Marvel's MCU ?

X-Men, easily.

Back in the day The Avengers weren't very popular at all. They were above teams like Alpha Flight and X-Caliber but nowhere near the level of the X-Men.

I don't remember any kids actively seeking out Avengers comics. It was always X-Men and it's affiliated titles. Especially in the 80's and 90's.

Yeah, late 80s,/early 90s I did collect West Coast Avenger cause Ironman was on that team but regular Avengers?! Hell no. They were not that popular. The team was Captain America, Black Knight, Captain Marvel (Monica Rambeau), Hercules, Wasp, Namor, She-Hulk, Thor, and Dr. Druid.

The sole reason we're even discussing an Avengers movie franchise is because Marvel didn't own the rights to turn X-Men into movies. That's it.

thing is in a comic you can keep drawing, these actors are getting old. a comic you can run for 60+ years, how you gonna have RDJ playing ironman for another 10 years?

DC cast heath 20 years after jack, people went the fukk off about it...movie came out and he's the best ever. leto got hammered, but if he does well, people will put their pitchforks down. keaton, kilmer and clooney all played bats in the same span of time. the stories got worse and worse, but if they were good, nobody would have fought it. only nerds care about these specifics. average fans that propel these films to historic openings only care about great action and a good story, no matter who is in it.

My counterpoint to your point about comic book movie reboots (aside from Batman) not being guaranteed successes and the possibility of fans not accepting new actors in these roles is that Disney won't give a fukk.

cant compare dc movies to MCU,

you can keep casting different people in dc movies back then because the movies did not link into each other as the MCU does.

There is no end game. The superhero bubble will eventually burst and then they'll start redoing shyt to wipe away the stink. We've been down this road before. The Batman series got all fukked up and then they waited a while and restarted it with Nolan.

Oh so you're talking about a movie that came out nine years ago and wasn't directed by anyone that has anything to do with First Class or DOFP. Makes sense.
