Thread is dope as fukk, but theres two parts to the question, who is the best predator and who would come out on top...
AS FAR AS SOME PREDATOR shyt... nobody is fukking with the cats in terms of lone hunters going on on some ninja assassin I'ma slice your throat while you sleep type shyt... and OF THE CATS the best success rate (lions dont count cuz they use groups) belongs to THE JAGUAR, who is THAT nikka on a strictly hunting level, they even get high off this hallucinogenic poison root that natives use in their shaman rituals before hand just to zone in their skills even more like a true 'hashashin'

The komodo dragons bit this water buffalo and the slow-acting venom took 6 days to kill it. The buffalo just was stumbling around with a some bloody wounds getting weaker and weaker and eventually collapsed. The dragons waited the whole time then tore it apart right before it died. This is just a clip of it. I can't find the whole thing. It was on a Nat Geo special originally. The film crew filmed the whole thing for those days and some of them were literally in tears at what the buffalo endured.

I remember the GOAT Steve Irwin got chased by one, he had a cut on his leg and the Dragon smelled it and basically went into a full on frenzy. shyt was chasing him up a tree. The Komodo is a terrifying animal, lizards just seem so prehistoric, like there's nothing going on in their head beyond some basic instructions.

I think I seen on animal planet that the reason why dragons are universal in human culture is that they are a mix in our psyche of the three great predators archetypes that were murking off our ancestors into an abomination.... big cats, reptiles and giant birds of prey
