:ohhh:

Don’t know much about them nikkas over their except grime music

Black British brehs what is your culture?

Basically we have grime music although not as popular as it was in the early to late 00s,afro swing which is a subgenre of afro beats music created by british nigerians and ghanaians.Quick witt and a sarcastic sense of humour. We call it british sense of humour. We also tend to dress smartly with the occasional hint of street. Ralph lauren polos, buttoned up shirts, jeans rather than tracksuits.
We are also big on trainers (sneakers).
Mainly huarraches, air max 90s and air max 97s.
Also we have our own slang which is a mix of jamaican patois and the occasional bit of cockney.
Cockney is basically words, slang and an accent used mainly by east london white people

It does not exist. You can't create a real culture in 40 years, with people still attached to their original culture.

Culture =/= entertainment.

The biggest thing these immigrants kids from Jamaica, Nigeria, Congo, Ghana, etc have in common is African American culture.

Mimicking AA in London does not make a culture.

With regards to mimicking aa culture we do have some fools that mimick aa culture but we also have our own culture.
See my previous post.

They don't have the core elements to claim a culture. They have a watered down Caribbean culture mixed with British culture and AA culture.

If we use culture in a very loose sense, yeah. OtHERWISE, no.

And if we talk about a black UK culture (something bigger than UK Carribean), it does not exist.

Absolute rubbish

The most hilarious shyt about these debates is that the average AA and Black British person doesn't know shyt about the other yet will be the most vocal:scust:

I have friends who think The Bay Area is Atlanta :dead:

You've got brehs in here who probably couldnt tell you an English city apart from London or a borough in London

You cannot possibly compare the two when there's apparently more Black people in New York alone than Britain.

Let me tell if my aa knowledge is up to scratch.
Without looking is the bay area a place in the south where they have baton rouge and louisiana?

The biggest black artists in the U.K. aren't rappers.

And anyway, rapping was invented by Jamaicans, so if anything, we gave you man a style to run with.

I thought rap music actually took elements from african music but was actually created by a black brit? Or was it hip hop?

I retired from this diaspora war BS as its pointless. But srsly what do these Black Brits want with us?? lol.

Most of these diaspora wars come from insecure people.

As for culture? It's crazy how folks forget that Paris IS the blackest city in Europe.

AA's contributed such as the expansion of Jazz Renaissance and other artistic and political movements but you also got your fellow Congolese, Ivorians, Martiniquean, Guadeloupeans, etc cooking shyt up on the atmosphere.

Again another false statement. This has been debunked plenty of times on this site:stopitslime:

Most of these elements stems from the Griots in the Westside.

There's many forms of rapping. In Jamaica, its toasting (rhyming to a riddim). In Congo, they call it "animation" or "atalaku" (Atalaku in Kikongo me check me out. Some atalakus rap in a singing voice and some do the traditional, same as in Hip Hop.
