None and this is coming from a person who really likes Nirvana music

In the 90's it was all hip hop and the only other thing about 90's music that people remember are Kurt Cobain and Nirvana

His suicide is the 90's cac version of Tupac and biggie getting killed

He's influenced these new Alt-Rock guys who call themselves "Rappers" but there not

Come as you are is still my shyt tho
:lawd::dj2:

this is a lie...grunge, punk, rock, alternative rock, and r&b (and late 90's bubblegum/boy band/princess pop) were all running shyt. alternative/punk/grunge was my third most listened to genre growing up, after r&b and hip hop

Came in to reply to this. KingZaire, you are right I’m in some aspects, especially redgarding his death. BUT the 90’s wasn’t all hip hop. Truthfully, the 90’s was ruled by Alternative Rock, hip hop and R&B. Then there was a late surge of bubble-gum pop.

MTV was pretty much Alternative Rock heaven. But to think that Smashing Pumpkins, Alice In Chains, Soundgarden, Lisa loeb, and Hootie and the blowfish were an after thought is crazy.

I realize a lot of you were just like Just Blaze as a kid. Corny dweebs that liked hip hop music. You were very far from the element of which it spawned. If I never heard the mfer coming from a car on 125th or Jamaica ave, spun at a block party, house party or club then he had no influence. They didn't stop the music for that cac anywhere hip hop oriented the night he died. he was an after thought if he was a thought at all. Just because you & your friends liked him and hip hop, doesn't mean it affected or influenced the culture.

Why address the pun and not the fact that the progenitor of the current wave of 'rock star' rappers is clearly influenced MUSICALLY by Nirvana? If there is rock influenced rap being made, where did the template come from? Who is your favorite rappers favorite rock star?

liking someone's music doesn't mean they influence what you do...furthermore half these rappers talk cobain/nirvana cuz that's one of the few rock acts they know :heh: that's like a country star shouting out his love for snoop, jay z, 50 cent...poser status.

This is accurate. MTV would pick a joint or two from rap to have in heavy rotation but the artists you named were were on all day outside of Yo!. And they outsold most hip hop artists by a lot.

travis scott is one of the biggest perpetrators

nardwuar pulled his hoe card and made him have to resort to syaing sh_t like "i like their t-shirts and images" :laff::laff:

This dude is the biggest poser in all of music. Reminds me of the dudes who used to come to the skatepark fitted up but couldn't even kick flip.

Hip Hop culture and music in the past 2 years is way closer to Rock than it is to Rap.

Travis Scott,Uzi Vert,.Xxxtencion, Tekashi,

Just cause someone yells and is a general weirdo doesn't mean they're influenced by actual rock music. The only rappers you listed influenced by rock music are Uzi and XXX. Travis is a poser who knows fukk all about anything outside of Hip Hop and Tekashi just screams a lot. Nothing about their music is influenced by the actual sound of rock.

:mjlol::mjlol::mjlol:
He wore clout goggles and got other rappers wearing em years later

You not see everyone repeating my shyt in here? That's what leaders do. :youngsabo:

Dre was incorporating rock elements into rap before anyone outside of Seattle had ever heard of Nirvana. If anything he was a fan of their music, but I don't see much in the way of musical influence.
