:skip: And you think they're alone in that?

Democratic base is far too corporate, especially current leadership, but they're still better than the Republicans in every one of those issues and have more viable non-corporate support than the Republicans do.

:pachaha: You said a whole lot of words to say nothing. You meant to say 'No. No, the Democrats are indebted to those same corporate masters.'

Historical

That study is by George Borjas, a hard-right conservative (and, ironically, a white-identifying Cuban immigrant himself), who is famous for being the one economist who repeatedly comes to a different conclusion on this issue than every other economist who studies it. He was also the thesis advisor to White Supremacist Jason Richwine when he wrote his famous, "Immigrants have lower IQ than native Whites and will stay that way" PhD thesis.

@ogc163 has torn Borjas's work apart numerous times, and shown how all the other research comes to the opposite conclusion. Immigrants generally have little to no impact on wages for native-born Americans because they create just as much purchasing demand as they bring labor. He lists 17 different real world studies from 33 different authors across the world as well as showing the theoretical and logical reasons why it works out that way.

You're literally siding with White supremacists in the very act of them being racist just to fulfill a political agenda.

Thanks for that new information!

So, questions.

1. How does that buying power trickle down to black Americans?

2. Studies around the world can't possibly take into account the way race undergirds US capitalism. Which native population is analogous to black Americans? I'm not reading 17 studies rn.

ps, I don't know why yall cant discuss this without insulting ppl. If white supremacists say the sky is blue, I'm not gon lie and say its red to please you.

'Illegals hold down wages' used to be progressive cant, right up until the Clintons and the DLC. What on earth happened to yall? Its like Bodysnatchers. :picard:
