What has changed in America where nobody can stay married?

We're in the age of equality. Men have been marrying broke women for thousands of years. Why wouldn't a woman marry a man who makes less? We're in the age of women doing what men have done, right?

Shouldn't she be able to carry more of the financial load, if she has it, if it's really about love?

To the folks out there trying to shame western women: do you think those poor women love you for you, or for the lifestyle? If men married down, maybe that's a character flaw. I for one, don't believe women will be as wanton with their assets as men. What you're about to witness is going to be amazing from a sociological-anthropological standpoint. Can't wait!

No one is against making the wife happy. It's about not placing her happiness above the man's and the rest of the family's.

Society is largely to blame. It began in my opinion treating marriage as a gift women are given and the event seems to be all about them, as opposed to both parties. Also we got 2 generations now raised on these Disney princess movies where the guy goes through all this shyt to give her what she wants, and all she does is sit there and get what she wants. Kids are impressionable. This breeds a sense of entitlement. The last 2 women I dated both were like that. This leads to women putting pressure on their guy to do it. If he does, the marriage starts on a bad foot based on pressure and selfishness. This can only lead to a bitter divorce.

Marriage is OVER. It's done my nikkas, it's just not worth it anymore. Only place where I KIND of see it work is the military, that's because they pay you for it. Then once you get tired of each other, either you become swingers or you end up stuck in the military because you gotta cash out to your wife.

Marriage is scary for a male, especially the bread winner. It literally makes no sense to get married.
