It's a damn shame BET cancelled College Hill because it was inspiring blacks to go to College because it looked fun. They'd rather us watch a Tyler Perry movie or"The Game".
LOL no it wasn't, it was good ratchet TV, and no colleges wanted to be affiliated it after the first few seasons which is why they had to change the format then after That I think BET got sold and they started axing a lot of the originally programing.
I would prefer they make a new gen A Different World

It had an element of ratchet but it was still built on young blacks in college. And you can forget about seeing another show like a different world. NBC gave that to Cosby because he was so big at the time but that shyt was waaaaay to positive to be able to get any run in todays genre of shows.

I thought up a whole premise of a reboot in the shower the other day
Col. Taylor would be the president of hillman college. Dwayne Wayne would earn his doctorate and decide to come back to Hillman from Kineshewa to take over Col. Taylor's position as head of math department and engineering prof. He and Whitley would bring their two kids (one attending the school and one high school age). Ron and Freddie (split up and hate each other) would have a son that acts worse than he did, and it would start with him trying to join his dad's frat. Kim would have a kid that went there, Jada Pinkett's character would be like the most passionate English professor that mentors a girl that acted just like her coming up (a ratchet), Sinbad has to come back for cameos too
I noticed by 2003 all positive black shows were taken off the air even those with good ratings. Some say this is attributed to the writers strike of the early 2000s that made Hollywood shift to a model of reality TV and remaking old movies and comic to film adaptations. Who knows

I can understand that but what I don't get is how the shows that provide nothing to our people like Frankie and Neffie and The Game can go away or get canceled but be brought back by BET, while shows like College Hill and Teen Summit can't get the same treatment. Viacom is wrong for that.
Not sure why you would expect a white owned company to care about the well being of a race that isn't theirs lol
