Lines for movies used to be insane. People would line up at 2 for a 4 o’clock showing. One movie theater was in a mall, and the line was going up to the 3rd level

Black Panther 1 is by and far the most memorable time I’ve ever had watching a movie in the theater.
Toy Story 3 made me shed a tear because I was a senior in high school and it felt like damn I’m about to be grown.
Judas and the Black Messiah legit had the movie theater ready to riot, if a YT person said the wrong thing to me for the next week or anybody that saw that movie they may have gotten hurt badly.

The Dark Knight - the audience didn't make a sound outside of the pencil trick and shyt like that
1st Avengers movie - shyt was mindblowing; i saw this at like midnight
Black Panther - This movie was a culture moment for real
Candyman - i had no business seeing this as young as i was :smh:
The Raid 1 & 2 - The first i went 40 mins out of my way to see it at some artsy ass theater, about 10-12 of us in the theater we were cheering and carrying on lol
Mortal Kombat - ended up also being the first bootleg movie I ever watched
Get Out - a roller coaster of emotions you can tell everyone in the theater was going through
Borat - I never laughed so fukking hard like I did at this movie in the theater. Like roll on the ground laughing my ass off
8 Mile - i saw this movie 2 days in a row in college. smoked out theater; it was a straight vibe with all the 90s shyt Em put in this movie
300 - My date, she gave me mouth and hand action under a coat while watching this lol :wow:
Book of Clarence - that "nights over egypt" scene had people damn near grooving in the theater...no joke
Logan - seeing Wolverine finally put his claws to purpose was an epic moment

The Mummy (Brendan Fraser).

The whole theater staff dressed up in Egyptian wear.
All the lights leading to the auditorium were illuminated hieroglyphics.
Free Egyptian god themed merchandise and toys for all ages.

Greatest movie experience I've ever see . They literally went ALL OUT!
I miss these type of experiences.

What's crazy that I actually remember the complete opposite when I went to see Episode 1. The audience was :unimpressed: , mainly, trying to make sense of Jar Jar Binks being all in the videos and why Darth Maul scenes were treated like friggin Boba Fett.
I've seen it 2 times in theaters including re-release. I never saw any of that hate live. Even Attack of the Clones people when NUTS when Yoda walked in to fukk up Count Dooku

Maybe it's because it was long overdue for a star wars movie that heads didn't mind how meh it was.

I remember folks around my way more hype about the dumbest of movies than Episode 2. Then again, Philly is weird AF :francis:
