@hexagram23 I'm curious your thoughts on the issue.
I'd have to think about this. A lot of good points being made.

i agree with this list, but didnt The Crow come out bfore blade? i think you coulda slid that in as the comic book moviefrom this thread I want to say the best answers are in order
- Toy Story; this is actually a better answer than my original suggestion, imo it is the answer
- Saving private ryan
- Pulp Fiction
- The Matrix
- BLADE - this was the first comic movie in years to take itself serious is and the blueprint for all that followed in terms of adapting a comic charactortype and world into modern society...

T1k IMO is a template for the characters in the matrix. Especially agent smith. As far as special effects I'd say "The Matrix". It would definitely be "T2" if "The Matrix" didn't exist. Everything had bullet-time for a minute.
As far as dialogue, plotting, and over all direction I'd say virtually any Tarantino movie.

This thread reminded me how amazing 90's Hollywood was
I'd say Dumb & Dumber and American Pie had a little bit more of an impactSeriously...
Some really great selections....I'll throw out a dark horse selection in "there's something about mary"....The movie was insanely popular, and redefined the comedy genre setting a template that a lot of popular comedies seemed to emulate years after.
