Are you a cyberpunk fan?

I listen to cyberpunk music sometimes when programmng( since it's so relaxing ) and i sometimes use cyberpunk art as my desktop wallpaper( like Blade runner ). Also watch the animes for time to time.

I am also self taught but how does a self taught programmer go about getting the first job with no experience or degree?

I started off as a field tech than worked at a help desk. Started writing code on my own time to improve processes and troubleshooting. Afterwards I posted internally for a developer position. I recommend the developer thread in Higher Learning for ways to go about landing a developer job.

Cacs do not like the fact that somebody can make $50k+ per year without that precious degree.

Just take a look at the ball busting DC Metro is getting about folks getting paid. Cacs think these metro employees should be making minimum wage driving these buses and trains.

They're the only people I've heard use the phrase "they don't deserve that much money" when talking about someone in a profession, ANY profession, who makes a certain amount, god forbid they have a degree or not.
The gall, the fukking...the...i dont even have a word to describe the damn NERVE that you have to have utter those words about somebody. Who the fukk are YOU to tell somebody else what they're "worth" and what they "deserve"?
They're the biggest haters on the planet when it comes to people making money I swear to god.
