You feel that way because I think the Joker was supposed to be in the 3rd film. Heath Ledger dying changed that whole ending to the trilogy, 2 Face isn't a strong enough character to carry a film as a villain.
I think they fukked up not really ending it with the Riddler after Heath Ledger died. I think Nolan decided against it because Riddler and Joker share too many similarities? They both like to fukk with Batman in their own ways. Bane is all destruction, no BS.

Anyway. Dark Knight Rises has it's obvious problems and plot holes, but as a whole it's still entertaining as fukk and shyts on MOST marvel movies created thus far. Bane was a FANTASTIC villain with amazing acting by Tom Hardy and great dialogue and etherous lines. He did go out like a fukking simp bytch so that's a shame but most of the movie dude was amazing. I've had multiple nightmares where Bane is chasing me through a city
