The Celtics were right Business wise to not give him the max.

The issue is they ran dude into the ground and made his injury worse and then discarded him. That’s what players are mostly upset about.

The way it all turned out sucked for IT but he is competitive and chose to try to play through it and the CBA doesn't really give teams any flexibility to be loyal to a player who can no longer perform.

I'm not saying its right, I'm just saying that players can't think they're avoiding that scenario by going to a team other than the Celtics. If you get hurt in a contract year, youre fukked. No team is going to fill their cap space with a guy who can't play anymore.

So signing a 6’8 27 year old wing who played at least 72 games year in all but his second season and who was throwing up 20/5/4 with great %’s for the prior 3 years was a bad idea because he broke his leg after they signed him?????

LMAO

The Coli's irrational hatred of the Celtics is a sight to behold :mjlol:

How? By trying to get something out of their investment?

*No it’s just that they treat their white employees better than their black employees.

So you all blame the Celtics for not maxing out an injured 5'9 no defense playing guard? Of course they traded his ass...I would have too.

This statement would’ve been fair if the Celtics and their medical staff weren’t the reason why he became damaged goods.

We won't ever know because being "loyal" would have been to sit him out during that playoff run to preserve his career... But instead they selfishly decided against that.... Obviously that isn't going over well with people NOT affiliated with Boston Basketball
:gucci: IT chose to play breh, not Danny, and the fans loved him for it.

You still trade him for Kyrie every time. I’m not sure why this is so hard for people to grasp.

This dude was talking NON STOP long before his hip and his sister about backing up the brinks truck and he was a max guy. The entire fan base was torn on maxing him, as was most people in the league, then Kyrie became available and that was that.

Now people pretend like they outraged at the Celtics for taking their advice

There are a lot of fake militants on here when it comes to sports.

Most of them are just ignorant trolls.

So he don’t want his son to play for a competent gm? Loyalty in sports ain’t real. Boston would be in the lotto if that trade was never then Sr. would be crying about the FO being trash. Smh

IT fit into the system better than ISO-Heavy Kyrie. :mjlol:
Plus your team chemistry is fukking shyt now. Before you had Smart, Thomas, and Horford. Who are all undersized for their position and hustle. Now you got Kyrie, who calls Lebron (leader of the Lakers :mjlol: your mortal enemies) to be consoled after tough losses, and he won’t even say he’s going to re-sign.

Maybe you shouldn’t worry about how fukked you would be if you didn’t completely screw over a guy who dragged you to the ECF after his sister died and teeth got knocked out on the court, and worry about how fukked you ARE right now currently with the flat earth nutjob you traded for. :pachaha:

Isaiah obviously wanted the Celtics to win and would put himself on the line to do so. Kyrie’s pissed he has to actually work. :mjlol:
:what::what::what:

Just...
