So AD's Daddy has no issues with his boy playing for a team that got rid of Shaq? A player who actually won them 3 championships.

Shaq wanted to leave idiot. And he was overcharging the Lakers by $10 million while “healing on company time”. You telling me the older player that had one more year of dominance left, that went out of his way to disrespect the team owner, was supposed to get preferential treatment over a younger player that was 100% focused on basketball?

Please leave the old tired talking points in the last decade. Shaq ran himself out of town.

Lamar Odom wasn’t anywhere close to the face of the franchise and he didn’t hurt himself putting it all on the court. It is different :upsetfavre:
Don’t overstate IT’s importance to that team. You think they stacked all these assets and hoarded all the cap space to build around him? :wtf: He was a placeholder til when guys like Kyrie became available, til the day someone like AD would want out of NO. Odom helped win 2 rings for LA. Thomas was a Celtic for 2.5 years. Thomas was the transitional champion of the Celtics. He was just a temp.

So you all blame the Celtics for not maxing out an injured 5'9 no defense playing guard? Of course they traded his ass...I would have too.

Every other team would have done the same thing. There are no loyalty contracts.

So, the C's should've signed IT to that max deal he was asking for :patrice:

He's played only 32 games since being traded. Is there even a timeline for his return this year?

Cats used to shyt on Rose and the Bulls for him being hurt and being on a max deal.
The Celtics were right Business wise to not give him the max.

The issue is they ran dude into the ground and made his injury worse and then discarded him. That’s what players are mostly upset about.

He had the option of not playing, he chose to play through it. :manny:

BULLshyt! They weren't building with the idea of making IT the face of that team. You act like Boston owed him a max deal for all his troubles. He wouldn't have been there regardless. The timing sucked, but when it is ever a good time to blindside someone with a trade?

32 year old Shaq was still more valuable than 28 year old IT.

Would you give IT a 200 million dollar contract? Nobody with any common sense would. He got traded for a far better player. Thats business.

I would've respected AD Sr. if he just said "I dont want my son playing in that cold, racist, devil induced city." He can push him toward the Lakers without bringing up the Celtics loyalty.

So signing a 6’8 27 year old wing who played at least 72 games year in all but his second season and who was throwing up 20/5/4 with great %’s for the prior 3 years was a bad idea because he broke his leg after they signed him?????

LMAO
