And the Lakers even tried to trade him.

Speaking of the Lakers, how loyal were they to Lamar Odom when he lost a family member and was in a fatal car accident and they STILL tried to trade him for CP3 and when it fell through sold his ass to Dallas?

Oh that was different

LA dumped Odom like garbage once he was done being useful to them and left him to fukkin die but Ainge is literally Hitler for sending IT to the team that was just in the Finals that season. Does any franchise have a more shameless, frontrunning "fanbase"?? :mjlol::mjlol::mjlol:

"B-b-b-b-u BAWSTON RACIST THO!!!!111 LA NOT RACIST AT ALL1!!!!"

LeBron James responds to 'n-word' slur: Racism is 'part of America'

Yea keep talkin bout that idyllic gentrified exhibition y'all got over there, no racism in sight I'm sure :mjpls::mjpls::umad:

I mean, we’ve been over it, can you imagine how F’d the Cs would be right now if they stayed “loyal” to IT?....
We won't ever know because being "loyal" would have been to sit him out during that playoff run to preserve his career... But instead they selfishly decided against that.... Obviously that isn't going over well with people NOT affiliated with Boston Basketball

32 year old Shaq was still more valuable than 28 year old IT.

Would you give IT a 200 million dollar contract? Nobody with any common sense would. He got traded for a far better player. Thats business.

I would've respected AD Sr. if he just said "I dont want my son playing in that cold, racist, devil induced city." He can push him toward the Lakers without bringing up the Celtics loyalty.

It’s not about the contract tho breh, he ran himself into the ground for that team and they did him like that. Shaq at that point was about to be on the downside and as I said, he himself did things that would make it nearly impossible for the Lakers to even want to retain him. It was already bad enough that Kobe was the younger, healthier, more committed player by that point.

And while I agree with the description of Boston you tellin me AD Sr. would somehow be in a better light right now? He put it perfectly, you and others are just grasping at straws. Had Shaq not been a dikk he would’ve retired a Laker but he did the most and got dealt for it. Not the same situation as IT.

Don’t overstate IT’s importance to that team. You think they stacked all these assets and hoarded all the cap space to build around him? :wtf: He was a placeholder til when guys like Kyrie became available, til the day someone like AD would want out of NO. Odom helped win 2 rings for LA. Thomas was a Celtic for 2.5 years. Thomas was the transitional champion of the Celtics. He was just a temp.
It makes no sense to die on this hill. That was a whole different Lakers front office anyway. You gotta do better than that.

AD Sr’s comments are going to hurt going to the Lakers imo:hubie:

So signing a 6’8 27 year old wing who played at least 72 games year in all but his second season and who was throwing up 20/5/4 with great %’s for the prior 3 years was a bad idea because he broke his leg after they signed him?????

LMAO
Hes not a first option
Hes not a second option

Hes trash and utah played to his strengths

Paul george never looked this pedestrian and he broke his leg the exact same way

Your boy is fukking trash then and now

Oh that was different

LAKERS WOULD NEVER TRADE A SUPERSTAR LIKE KOBE UNLESS THEY REQUESTED IT

LAMAR ODOM WAS A ROLE PLAYER AND DEMANDED A TRADE AFTER THE CP3 DEAL FELL THROUGH

AND WE DIDNT EVEN TRADE HIM UNTIL HE WAS PRETTY MUCH FINISHED

Actually, quite a few Lakers reached out to Odom. Especially during his episode in the hospital, Kobe was one of them.

But it’s a lot of projection in this post. Y’all only won 1 title since the mid 80s. If it wasn’t for Bynum being injured the Lakers threepeat and y’all still a dusty ass musty ass irrelevant squad. I understand the lowkey feelings of inadequacy, if I was a part of a stanbase with a highly conflated sense of self due to titles mainly won during the days of MLK and the Black Panther Party I’m sure I’d be lashing out too since my franchise player leaving. Y’all can’t even screw the Lakers over in this AD shyt now. Tatum/Brown gon lead y’all valiantly into the new Pierce/Walker era while GOAT franchise oppresses and rules over the league again. :umad:
