much more thorough and detailed

you'll learn much more about the NOI, Malcolm X, OAAU, MMI, Farrakahn, his assassination, his trip to Mecca, dates, real names, addresses etc..

it even has a link for a website with original documents and letters

mxp.manningmarable.com

overall, it's just way more comprehensive, although i would recommend both

edit: there's also some controversial stuff in it..In the autobiography Malcolm describes Rudy as the guy who went to the old aristocrats house getting naked for him and the old guy climaxing from it

The aristocrats name was William Lennon, and after Malcolm was arrested in 1946 he gave the police Lennon's contact info saying Lennon was his former employer (hoping that Lennon would use his connections to get him out)

I dont necessarily believe it was Malcolm, but interesting nonetheless

Malcolm also snitched on the burglary crew..he was the first to get picked up, had a loaded gun on him, and the detectives said he wouldn't get the gun charge if he sang, which he did.

McMafia- nonfiction on how illegal crime syndicates create economic growth after govt change in many countries. Not too well written but insightful

McMafia was a really good book, dude that wrote it was on point with his sources, some of the stories were :ohhh:,he did a good job of weaving together the different aspects of crime in Eastern Europe too..

Anything by Malcolm Gladwell. Easy reading but interesting stuff.

Gang Leader for a Day
Without Sanctuary - a collection of lynching photographs
Catch a Fire - a Bob Marley biography that is probably the best written thing I've ever laid eyes on
Guns, Germs, and Steel
The Corner - if you like The Wire, you'll like this
Forty Million Dollar Slaves if you're a sports fan
Needful Things, The Stand, The Shining by Stephen King

The Wrong Side of the Tracks
I enjoy a good book as much as anyone else, but fiction/non-fiction gets to be a chore after a while. I got into the habit of reading fantasy/sci-fi novels a while back and it's paid-off. I didn't bother checking through the other pages, so if I list something someone already posted......:manny:

Incarnations of Immortality - Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

The Death Gate Cycle - Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

The Dark Elf Trilogy - Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

The Sword of Truth - Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

This shyt right here......:wow:.......

The Wheel of Time - Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

And City of Thieves by David Benioff. A classic historical fiction story, IMO. About the siege of Leningrad. Just read up on it, and if it sound interesting to ya, check it out.

Native Son
A song of ice and fire series

All of these I've read and enjoyed...of course ASOIAF series is my favorite but City of Thieves is a really fast read and Native Son and Black Boy by Richard Wright are must reads...IDK how you can be black and not read these..both books are piff.

I almost never read Non-Fiction. I'm on a big fantasy kick right now.

I've had The Brother's Karamazov on my bookshelf forever. :damn:

I also need to finish House of Leaves; I should probably start from the beginning, very weird book. There are parts where I legitimately felt claustrophobic.

1984 is probably my favorite fiction book. The way Orwell describes the torture :wow: I wonder if dude experienced it himself.

As far as non-fiction I'm currently reading open veins of Latin America by Eduardo Galeano

:ohhh:

the present/future is like a mix of 1984 and a brave new world

here you go:
