Brooklyn keeps on taking it.
Robert Taylor/Stateway was wayyy bigger than Cabrini

Robert Taylor Literally stretched for blocks

Cabrini was huge too but way more centralized

The Robert Taylor picture reminds me of the projects lined up on Webster Ave in the Bronx, Ave D in Lower East Side Manhattan, and Livonia Ave in Brownsville.

Just blocks and blocks of housing projects that are high rise.

I been up in Pink Houses in BK and Grant Houses up in Harlem(at night) , both had me shook :dame:

@HaitianPattyFromNYC

The funny thing about the Pink Houses is that it’s located in more tame parts of East New York yet it’s easily the worst project in all of Brooklyn.

To me at least.

My dads friends was walking inside one of those buildings and for no reason a young dude just smashed a bottle over this head.

Especially Queensbridge. Ravenswood and Astoria seem more hot to me these days.
I think most people are associating "notorious" with dangerous. Just about all of the PJs in NY are "safe", but some are more ratchet than others. Places like Stapleton, Walt Whitman/Ingersol in BK, and Hammel Houses in Far Rock have alot of BS ratchetness going on, but they aren't dangerous.

QB is completely safe but have some BS going on. Berry Houses in SI are probably the safest I've ever seen. it's mostly elderly people there from what I can tell.

:picard:That's some judge dredd shyt.
Stateway is what they call O block now right?

Chicago needs a Narco types series from Capone to Chapo.
Iirc the movie colors was originally based off of Chicago gangs in the projects but the producers felt that a movie about bloods and crips in la would be more profitable at that time.

But they really needs to get a movie or s TV show like that going. A lot of people really do think Chicago is nothing but a bunch of deadheads bopping with guns all day repping a bunch of made up clicks.

Qb and Marcy aint that serious...this aint the 80s...those areas have been completely gentrified. They are completely safe, even at night time.
Yeah they’re not too bad from what you see and hear now. Those two housing projects are now like historical landmarks of hip hop lure. Probably places that hipsters constantly pull up to & take pictures

I remember a thread on the coli about Queensbridge celebrating a full year without any shootings like a couple years ago, so that’s awesome.

But from the late 70’s, 80’s, to mid-90’s those housing projects were just as bad as anywhere else

Nah safest for me was Vladeck Houses in Lower East Side lol.

I don’t count elderly public housing as “hood”.

And overall I think the projects as far as crime goes are overrated through the country. Most of the crime and murders happen on regular hood blocks more than anything.

I made a typo in that post I didn’t mean to put “white” I meant to put the word TAME. This spell check on iPhone is disgusting.

Anyways the projects off mother Gaston are Tilden, Van Dyke, Brownsville, Glenmore Plaza and Howard Houses. It’s a bunch.
