I only know about my local ones in philly: Wilson Park, Tasker Homes, and Passyunk. All single floor apartments spread out with courtyards
They aren't known for anything nationally.
I've been in Richard Allen Homes in north Philly which was a high rise. Older people may have heard of it thru rap with Ram Squad and Tommy Gunz (rip)
Went in there with my friend and his drug dealer brother to see some girl
Out here in Boston, we had Orchard Park Projects, the home of New Edition and BBD. It was also home to the drug dealer this movie was based on:
At its peak, Cabrini–Green was home to 15,000 people,[3] living in mid- and high-rise apartment buildings totaling 3,607 units. How big was Cabrini Greene and how many ppl did it hold? I heard it stretched for miles not sure if that's true though.
I tend to think the crimes that occur in projects are overrated.
I use to hear people living on regular blocks with shytty houses or old buildings making it seem like the projects is where everything went down when in reality their blocks were just a hot.
Some of the projects in NYC, Boston and Philly can sometimes look nicer than the regular city blocks with old ass row homes/apartment buildings.
Just my two cents and observations.
