No half crazy pic.

I wonder about the actual numbers of crime cases.

Could people say Cabrini green just because of the legacy/notoriety?

Chicago projects are the most infamous due to the conditions (wooden doors, entering apts through the medicine cabinets), prominent gangs (GDs, VLs, BGDs, and more).

The Chicago Housing Authority was millions of dollars in debt so they couldn't do much. People would steal the hallway light bulbs and with only 1 or 2 maintenance men, many times the halls would be pitch black. Average tenants yearly salary was $4,500. Rent was about $50. At one point, 95% of tenants at Robert Taylor were unemployed.

Dudes used to post up with sniper rifles and pick off their opps :merchant: Elevators wouldn't work so many times the police would say "fukk it".

The Girl X story is sadly infamous. The mayor had a publicity stunt where she would stay a week at Cabrini (I think). bytch brought mad security and still didn't stay long.

22–year-old Denise Dozier was thrown from a 15th floor apartment window at the project; she survived the incident. [14] On June 25, 1983, 18 month-old Vinyette Teague was abducted from the project after her grandmother left her alone in the hallway for a few minutes to answer a phone call. An estimated 50 people were in the hallway at the time of the abduction, but police were unable to gather enough evidence to make any arrests. She has never been seen or heard from since.[15] On August 15, 1991, shortly before midnight, CHA police officer Jimmie Haynes was fatally wounded by a sniper rifle at the project. He died two days later at Mercy Hospital and Medical Center.[16] Three suspects were charged with his murder.[17] A maintenance worker at the project was beaten to death by gang members after he allowed police officers access to a building where a gang meeting was taking place in February 1993.

Cabrini was :wow:. True anarchy

this video always makes me laugh.....the network clearly paid a bunch of crackheads to fake that stabbing....dude is laying there on the stretcher with the cleanest, whitest bandage I ever seen over his supposed wound....and they want us to believe he bled out and died in the elevator
